Thanks, meemaw12! Maybe this is her... I hope her family and friends can get closure soon.

Unless there's a connection between CL and La Habra, I highly doubt this is Erin. 2 hours in each direction covers a lot of territory, and we are assuming he really took her 2 hours away to hunt (which I highly doubt. I think hunting was an excuse to have a firearm and head out someplace remote which is not hard in that area)

Possibilities:
1. Red herring- give suspect a false sense of confidence
2. The hunting trip was a complete lie told to EC, and the perp shot EC in the car or jeep and then disposed of her in JTNP.

First is a total waste of resources, to much downside for any upside you could ever hope to acheive
Second is far too much of an assumption than I'd be willing to make, given that he didn't know she was pregnant at the time. I don't think he had already decided to "do the deed". I think whatever happened to her likely would have happened after they had gotten where they were going that day. And then something set him off. So this search must be some kind of obsessive fixation on the part of a ranking official and no one wants to question him/her. It enrages me that this stuff has to go on in this world. :gaah:

Possible in part, but as I understand it, a large portion of that area has no cell towers to ping off of. Maybe they have pings headed into the park?

According to the affidavit - it says her phone was turned off. It states:

Since EC told her friend in a text that they were going out to celebrate the pregnancy, I'm quite certain he knew about the pregnancy.

Did you read the probable cause statement? CL most certainly DID know she was pregnant and they headed out for the day to supposedly celebrate the pregnancy. It seems she may have been happier with the news than CL was.

So many possibilities here. If she was treading lightly, she may have told him under the guise of the baby was his, if the relationship with CL didn't work out. He may have seen the positive test. She may have told him during an argument that she was pregnant and it wasn't his. It sounds unfortunately like EC was being pretty brazen, given that she and her affair partner both had spouses. Sadly, this may have hastened her demise.

I always had a little hope and now it's gone.

Now I know why her family is not grinding to search for her. They know all this information already. They have already heard about CL.

Now I have a good idea opinion on what the police are doing. They are trying to nail the final nail in CL's coffin (or story) All they need is Erin's body and they suspect if they push hard enough, he will break.

It sounds silly, but I wish I could hug Erin tight.

Probably - the original twitter notification only said unidentified body found in fire. There was no further details but it sounds like it could be this or else there were two fires there today.

Probably - the original twitter notification only said unidentified body found in fire. There was no further details but it sounds like it could be this or else there were two fires there today.

The body if an adult female was also found under some brush in La Habra. It had been there at least a week. Someone posted the link on the previous page. Sorry. Can't post links from my phone.
