According to the search warrant, “Nicole (Lee) told Isabella that without a body the detectives did not have a case against them and the detectives would never find the body.”

“Nicole had also berated Lee in Front of Isabella about not being able to keep his lies straight when he was interviewed by detectives because he was dumb,” the search warrant said
.

Did this Isabella not go directly to police?! I mean, Erin was someone that she obviously knew...I can't imagine listening to someone talk about such things and not be horrified! Maybe it's just not being reported--her reaction to these conversations....???

Beasley would know if he's color blind or not. Seriously?

"Deuteranomaly (five out of 100 males):

The deuteranomalous person is considered "green weak". Similar to the protanomalous person, he is poor at discriminating small differences in hues in the red, orange, yellow, green region of the spectrum. He makes errors in the naming of hues in this region because they appear somewhat shifted towards red for him. One very important difference between deuteranomalous individuals and protanomalous individuals is deuteranomalous individuals do "not" have the loss of "brightness" problem.

From a practical stand point, many protanomalous and deuteranomalous people breeze through life with very little difficulty doing tasks that require normal color vision. Some may not even be aware that their color perception is in any way different from normal nor do their friends. The only problem they have is passing that "Blank Blank" color vision test. I have tested many people and found them color blind (all males) and they did not know it.

Older men? My uncle was colorblind. He knew it but I'm not sure when, how or why.
You'd think eventually someone would tell you you're wearing goofy colors or something and you'd catch on.
I'm just saying, it's possible but a far-fetched excuse relative to this story.

My son is color blind but that doesn't stop him from arguing with me about what color swim goggles I bought him. He says purple. They are obviously blue. Anyway, it's late....hoping for more progress tomorrow.

NL looks pretty rough. I wouldn't want her mad at me! She looks a lot more scary than her husband, that's for sure! I hope they both go down soon.

It doesn't sound like she went to LE. To me it sounds like IM was very good friends with NL and CL, probably for quite awhile. They had to be close for NL to be telling her this stuff. And NL berating CL in front of her too. I think she only told LE when it was clear that if she didn't she'd be in a world of trouble. If this is how things went with IM, I wonder if she would have told at all if LE han't had their focus on NL and CL?

If EC was an avid photographer, she may have had a thing about never leaving the house without her camera. Though, that might get tricky on a rendezvous with your mister. There is a picture on EC's FB standing on the beach with a DSLR camera. I can't make out the name brand, though. Taking her camera seems risky. Seems like CL/NL would have disposed of it, knowing it would be a huge, direct link to EC.

They don't seem like the brightest bulbs in the box after what we have seen today with the information release.

My head is about to hit the keyboard or I'd look. But, actually, the video from the horse ranch was put out just a few days ago iirc. We saw it recently and even commented that it was about time someone from the horse ranch acknowledged Erin.

thanks. I'll go dig back maybe 2 threads and see if I can locate first instance. I swear every day on here feels like 2 or 3 trying to keep up!

OT but I hope all of the extra hits to the horse rescue site results in dollars for the horses' care. I sent a little bit.

I think we have to remember that we're reading this information from a probable cause affidavit. Isabella was receiving this information directly from NL, who was most definitely putting a "this-is-why-we're-not-guilty" spin on the version of events. So, it goes more like:

"CL was at [x] doing [x] and I was at [x] doing [x]. Plus, we hadn't even seen her in weeks since we were all here at the ranch for [x] event, remember? The police are just desperate and looking for a convenient scape goat. We lived next to each other and worked here at the ranch together, so of course they are going to target us. They know there's no way it was us. [pause] Besides, they can't prove anything without a body anyway."

If you were hearing that from someone you (presumably) liked and trusted, you'd want to believe it with all of your heart and soul, so you'd put your friend filter on and it wouldn't sound so scary/menacing, IMO.

Who even says things like that (no way to prove without a body)? No normal, uninvolved person, Imo.

oh me too! horse rescues are really amazing for what they do - they need all the support they can get

I really hope that if CL and/or NL are responsible for what happened to EC, that they pay for it, in spades. NL's comments are heartless.

CL must have sold EC a bill of goods for her to think they'd be going out celebrating her pregnancy by him when he has a wife and child and she had a husband. He must have made a lot of promises he had no intention on keeping.

It still blows my mind that killing her to keep the secret from his wife that EC was pregnant, but not murdering her with his wife's knowledge. I wonder what she thought the motive was for killing EC if he didn't want her to know EC was preggers? NL had to have known EC was pregnant by her husband. And IMO it's a possibility that she was the mastermind behind this whole thing to get rid of her competition, shades of Heather Elvis with Tammy & Sidney Moorer.

These young girls, so easily lead by these guys, only to be expendable when the wife finds out and wants it ended.

No, definitely not and I do suspect that she's involved, but I was just saying you have to imagine the entire context of how she said it. It might make her friend feel a little funny, but probably not in an overtly, DUN!DUN!DUN!, run to the police, kind of way.

I didn't know there was a video with IM. Is that what you're talking about? I'd like to see that too!

I'm wondering too how involved IM might be. She clearly knew after!

<snipped for space>
Thank goodness Erin texted her friend that she was meeting with CL that morning. It really seems very early on they were very suspicious of CL and now we know why.

I just think its logical he is the one behind all of this. He is the one that has the 10 spent bullet casings for a .40 caliber handgun. He is the one that apparently cannot or wont produce the handgun in question that matches the bullet casing. This shows guilt all over him from head to toe, imo.

And saying he only kissed her is ridiculous. No wonder his story to LE had major inconsistencies. I think they already knew a lot about him before he was even interviewed. I am sure the phone was ringing off the hook at the police station with people calling telling them that Erin was having an affair with CL. And then he stupidly denied it and I imagine he tried to deny everything trying to cover up that he had murdered Erin.
<snipped for space>

No kidding on the text! I'm glad it's there. I wonder how much people knew and how many of them knew. Seems like "everyone else" always knows more than you'd think in those situations.

Related to the part BBM every cheater I've ever encountered/talked to expressed the relationship as at least one level below where it was. "We're just friends" = emotional affair/inappropriate conversations. "We've only kissed"= "we've had sex." "We only did it once" = "we've been sleeping together for quite awhile." Just my experience and all.

To your point, I feel pretty confident at this point the affair was happening and a resulting pregnancy would mean a whole lot of different things to different people involved. I'm really sad for all of them. I find myself wondering if she really did miscarry before, or if she found out at some point that it wasn't her husband's and then something happened.
