Exactly! I believe Erin was dead by the 29th, so the only thing I can think of that was so important is that they hadn't disposed of Erin's body until the 29th. What else could be so important?
About the only other thing I could come up with was LE may have questioned their whereabouts on that date....and questioned separately. She had an alibi....he didn't, i.e. stayed home alone all day. Did anyone see you at your home? No.
So, they're thinking LE will use that date to say that's when EC actually died. (If she has.)
And that's about all I could come up with other than what you posted.
