So my question to you, Michael, is do you think the man you saw in that car that she hopped into looks like Christopher Lee, who her neighbor

is alleging was having an affair with her? We`re going to show you another photo. There he is, Christopher Lee.

BEASLEY (via phone): Yes. You know, this is the first -- I`ve got to tell you, this is the first that I have seen this picture of this

gentleman. And I cannot believe that -- if you take that cowboy hat off, that very well could be the man that was in that red vehicle that day.

That very well could be. I can`t say it is. I just can tell you, 6, 7 percent, that that very well could be the short man with no hair. It`s --

I can`t believe this.

This is the transcript I was talking abt M B saying it could have been CL in the red car...

ETA: IMO the transcript should say 60 to 70 percent, never heard anyone refer to 6 or 7..

The producers of the JVM show should have arranged a line-up. That would have been much more interesting imo.
Six or seven percent - lol! And IF you remove the cowboy hat to boot!
Not kosher imo.

Two things about this bolded information: It implies LE knows for certain that Erin left with CL that day. And is there a specific reason detectives believe Erin was injured and unable to get help as opposed to actually having been killed?

I do think they know much more than we know they know!

bbm

IMO, That would go along with NL planning of this "hunting" trip of CL. She wanted EC injured, abandoned to suffer until her death.

Rational in this thinking of NL: NL had suffered once the "affair" was discovered (as evidenced by her Pinterest), CL had to fix their problem or NL would leave him and he would never see their child again; this is the way NL instructed CL to fix their problem. NL may have even been at the "undisclosed" location to torture - verbally and/or physically Erin prior to her being injured.

This is all MOO.

I agree with this. I have a hard time believing that she would do this as well, since she would have nothing to gain and everything to lose (her child, her freedom). That said, I don't understand how anyone could murder another human, so I will never understand the mindset of a killer.

That said, having looked over her pinterest account, she just doesn't strike me as someone who would commit such a crime. IMO, perhaps she was very angry at CL, said she would divorce him and not allow him to see their child if he didn't take care of this, and he incorrectly interpreted this. She would still certainly be an accessory if she knows he did it and/or helped cover it up. And when she berated him for being dumb, it could be for a lot more than just his interactions with LE.

If I had to place money, I would say she is an accessory, and she will eventually sell him out on a plea deal. I think LE knows this, and they are working on it right now.

My only problem with this scenario is they were moving back to Alaska. At the very most CL would have to pay child support (and we know a lot of dads that don't even bother with that) and by this point NL knew about the affair and pregnancy. Why would NL want Erin killed? I don't think NL got involved until after Erin was killed. JMO

I've had the luck of seeing big horn sheep a few different times. I felt so lucky and honored! We stood for so long just watching them. AMAZING!! Warms my heart just remembering!

We've also encountered tortoises, snakes (ick), road runners, coyotes, rabbits, lizards, to name a few. I just love that place. And the thought of someone hunting in the Park turns my stomach.

WOW, I'm jealous!!! :( I haven't even seen the desert tortoises (and my hubby even saw them!). But big horn sheep! Sooooooo cool!!!

Yeah, forgot the lizards! lol

I don't know about babies in pouches! lol They do hop and are cute but look nothing like rats (or I would be outta there!!!).

O/T but when I lived in Palm Springs I had one in my house. Called my ex who worked at the fire department and within minutes I had no less than 10 fireman running through my house trying to catch the little critter. They really are cute - as far as rodents go. Kangaroo Mouse.jpg

This description will take me an hour to decipher if even possible - lol!
For the record, did LE remove an iPod or iPad from the purse? Isn't an iPod used solely for playing music? (That's less interesting as far as evidence is concerned versus if LE took an iPad.) It's difficult getting old combined with technological advances. All my parents had to do was plug in a television and adjust an antenna.

An iPod Touch can be used for much more than just music. You can use iMessages to talk to others on Apple devices. You can take pictures, play games, check email (using WiFi), post to FB (using WiFi), make FaceTime calls, etc. etc. You cannot make regular phone calls but there is so much you can do!

While it does depend on the generation of iPod, here's a link from Apple with info on what you can do with an iPod Touch: https://www.apple.com/ipod-touch/features/

If I found out my husband had been cheating on me, I would want HIM dead! Not the girlfriend.

I think you can use special apps to DISGUISE what number a text is coming from, but I don't think you can pretend it's coming from one of your own contacts. Is that what you are trying to say?

Yeah sort of. I didn't think you could block or hide where a text is coming from but even if you could, if you have someone you text with frequently as a contact - any new texts are going to come in under that name/number.

I suspect NL's temper and need for revenge were critical. I just don't see a solid motive for CL. They could have moved to AK and they would be out of reach for child support. It's possible CL might have worried that the affair becoming known would compromise his honorable discharge and future opportunities in the military. But is that sufficient to risk life without parole? It might be, but this is obviously short-sighted. They would have to know a missing Erin would bring scrutiny that would make the affair more likely to come out to the military. I suspect NL found out about the affair, NL and CL planned the murder, and he carried it out, to appease NL. To go from an intimate relationship with someone to luring her (somewhat sadistically) to her death is a big step, and it's hard for me to imagine he would do that, without NL's insistence, even if he is a psychopath. He would still need motivation to take the risks involved, and at this point, I don't see enough benefit to him. Revenge is a powerful motivator.

It doesn't surprise me after watching the Grant and Amanda Hayes trial (and following the case prior). Amanda had A LOT to lose and yet, she willingly participated in a very gruesome murder of Grant's ex/mother of his kids, Laura Ackerson.

There is another possible motive for CL. Sometimes married men cannot stand the thought of a girlfriend having their child, and raising the child, away from them. Like they would rather the child 'not be born', then have the child be living a separate existence. I don't think I explained it well, but have seen it before.

ah ha see that isjust the thing joshua tree is anational forest.u cannot hunt there. he went hunting alright but did he go w hiswife?
hunting human prey? this is double homicide afaict. scuse typos....

I don't think they were going hunting.
I think hunting was just what he told his wife. he was going to do that day. I think Erin said hunting in her text messages cause this was the excuse given.

I cant for the life of me see two ppl having an affair sneaking out to have time together go HUNTING. Just makes no sense. So to me Hunting was the excuse he used to get out of the house,

I do not think she is in JT.

I think they went somewhere else.

I don't think CL knew she was pregnant till she got in the car with him that morning!

Has anyone taken a poly?

Maybe Erin texted her friend all of this information because she thought something was a little off about the whole thing as well. Especially the gun and the hunting part of the "celebration".

The only thing that is going to save this case is the fact that the Lee's had no idea she ever texted anybody about the plans.

Just like in the Heather Elvis case; the Moorer's had no idea Heather called her girlfriend to tell her that Sidney called, said he was leaving his wife and wanted to get back together.

I wonder if Erin and Nichole ever exchanged words?

I do think NL could have been suspicious and followed her husband that morning.
