We don’t have a ton of details here, but I think suicide is unlikely. I see foul play as being even more unlikely than that.

She was exhibiting strange behavior, and taking the words of her family and friends at face value, that was highly unusual.

Having some sort of a sudden onset mental health episode is reasonable, but that doesn’t explain her suddenly dying from such a thing.

So I’ve got to think that she had to have consumed something that caused her death (the weather doesn’t seem conducive to exposure).
I agree. It is too coincidental for me that her disorientation began the same time she left her former colleague. I am not accusing him/her of anything. MOO

Well now I'm spooked.... definitely the house with the air/heating van is blurred out for me.

the one with the old, green truck in front is blurred out for me

I may be doing something wrong- is anyone else getting a blurred out image on Google street view of the 6582 Bose area?

Or is this what Google does to protect privacy of address when a crime address is reported?

Is it one of these houses?

I think a sudden medical event also makes sense here. I'd be interested to know if Erin was having headaches as well. Really I think that's the best scenario. No drugs, no suicide, no homicide. Natural causes. At least I'd prefer that if it was my family. You'll always wish you could have saved her or if you missed signs, no matter the cause.

You can contact Google and have them blur out your home/property on Street View.

o/t but why would someone do that? just for curiosity sake
wouldn't it bring even more attention to which house it is - and that someone can easily drive by or look in another search engine to see the house?

RBBM

I believe the home where the Brady Bunch was shot had the curb number blurred out in Google Maps. Too many fans of the show were banging on the owner's door and wanting to see the inside of the place.

JMVHO.

Some people just don’t want images of their property on the Internet, and Google makes it easy to request it to be removed. Whether it’s general privacy or the possibility of something else in the picture. It’s rare, but I’ve seen it a couple times before. Highly coincidental here, but sometimes people who want to be very private often have specific reasons. Not saying that’s the case here, but if there was foul play involving that house, all the more strange.

The Nissan Murano comes with lightly tinted rear windows. Which along with the angle of the windows would be just enough if she was laying down to prevent her from being seen I think. It may not have been a visual that alerted whoever reported it, but an odor.

Or had some kind of cerebral event. Stroke, head injury, hypoglycemic crisis. Very possibly could have been drugs, but I agree it’s unlikely there was foul play (including having something slipped to her) and afaik we don’t have knowledge that she was a recreational drug user. IMO could be drugs, could be medical but highly unlikely we’re dealing with a homicide. Just a really, really sad tragedy.

Condolences to her family and friends. I also feel for the people on that street wondering if she might have been saved if they’d paid more attention (or if they did notice, said something). I hope everyone gets the answers they need as quickly as possible so healing can begin.

I bet the incidence of blurring in Silicon Valley is higher than the rest of the US. Probably half the people there either work/worked at Google or know someone who does/did.

It's the one that Crhedbngr just posted.

Sorry. I deleted my post because the image of the house I uploaded was not the one you were asking about (6582).

I'll put my image back into this post. Looks like a dust devil on the left side of that house.

I'm so sad to hear the horrible news about Erin. Gone way too soon. Sending my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends and hoping that they get answers soon.

Looks like a similar neighborhood to the Sunset Almaden neighborhood (supposedly where the phone last pinged)- although I'd say most neighborhoods in the Bay Area look like this, so it's really hard to pinpoint just from this photo. We'll have to wait for more details to come out.

MOO.
It’s not far from the last ping. The family and the news had the last ping as Vegas and Menlo in San Jose. She had to have driven a bit more since then or was close enough it was the tower it pinged on.

Sad that she was so close to the fire station.

If it did, I'm actually not surprised given how little people seemed to be aware down there (assuming this is in Almaden, which I suppose we don't have confirmation yet). No fliers anywhere I saw even in the area where her phone last pinged.

MOO.
According to a link in the prior posts it says Bose Lane which is Almaden and .8 miles from the cell phone tower ping.

Oh no! How heartbreaking! I am so sorry for Erin- rest in peace. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

I wonder if she could have had a stroke or hemorrhage?
