Did not hear a sentencing date? Anyone?

I thinks she appears just shocked. And the tears are for herself, perhaps.
She really looks like she just cannot believe this. Was she really that delusional?

Funny how no one on the defense team seemed surprised at the verdict, just Monica, who thought Baker would save her murderous self.

Never understood why that 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was so intent of saving this woman from prison in the first place. They hadn't even seen each other for 3 years iirc.
Now she can continue to weep for the rest of her miserable life.

And I believe the judge said at 8:30.

Finally some emotion from her. Though not for Fabio and his family. No conscience imo.

Did she really think she was going to get out and roam free??

Cases I see defendants usually get second degree. I thought first degree was pretty unusual.

What kind of possible sentence could she get for first degree and lying in wait?

Oh I think she gets LWOP, no doubt.

Thanks, I didn't hear the time at all. :)

I think so too. I feel right now for her poor daughters, so hoodwinked by this woman, and now without both parents.

But may you rest in peace, Fabio. And Luigi, may you feel satisfied with this justice too.

It might be sinking in to her now that Ride or Die is just a saying. The reality is her spending the rest of her life not free and under control until the end of her days. For what? A short sexual mid-life infatuation for the bad boy. I can't see it as some kind of deep love affair. It cost Fabio his very life. The daughters, this is what she laid on them to carry through life. MOO, something she should've reflected on-- it's not possible to find true happiness in the end from causing others sorrow.

I think she's as selfish as the day is long, and even now feels no remorse for having Fabio so brutally killed if that's what it took for her to have what she wanted. I doubt being with Baker would have lasted for long, he was likely just a means to an end, for her to have money and the freedom to live as she desired, with whatever man pleased her for the moment.

For all of her 'ride or die' and 'Mrs. Baker' baloney, when he was constantly saying they needed to get married (so she couldn't testify against him, imo) she never said straight out 'Yes, let's get married as soon as we can', or 'Do you know how we can do that while we're locked up?' or anything of the sort. She just played him along.

The trial was long and at times tedious. But the reading of the verdict and the cuffing of Monica was quick. What a contrast. JMO.

Did you see when they were cuffing her, it looked like she was saying why are you doing this? Repeatedly haha. Because you are a convicted murderer. I wonder if she will go to Chowchilla?

The jury got it right. I am sad for her kids--- their mother killed their father and they just don't believe so they are going to have to through a whole other grieving process. I can't imagine all the good s-x and fun was worth the LWOP that she will serve.

It is hard to believe that she had a single thought that they would find her not guilty.

Guilty verdict makes Monica Sementilli eligible for a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for murder of her husband

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced that a jury today convicted Monica Sementilli of murdering her husband, renowned hairdresser Fabio Sementilli, in 2017.

Following a 10-week-long trial, jurors found defendant Monica Sementilli guilty of one count of murder with special circumstance allegations that the killing was carried out for financial gain and by means of lying in wait. She also was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

The verdict makes her eligible for a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

“This was a cold and calculated crime motivated by greed and betrayal,” District Attorney Hochman said. “Today’s verdict ensures that those responsible for this ruthless act will be held accountable. Our office remains steadfast in the pursuit of justice for victims and their families. We extend our deepest sympathies to Fabio Sementilli’s loved ones as they continue to mourn his tragic loss.”

Prosecutors proved that Monica Sementilli and her co-defendant, Robert Louis Baker, were involved in a romantic affair and conspired to kill 49-year-old Fabio Sementilli in his Woodland Hills home in case BA452975.

On Jan. 23, 2017, Baker fatally stabbed Fabio Sementilli as he sat on his patio, then fled the scene in the victim’s Porsche, which was later found abandoned miles away. Baker previously pleaded guilty to first-degree, special circumstances murder of Fabio Sementilli, killing him with a knife, and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman of the Major Crimes Division and Deputy District Attorney Heather Steggell of the Organized Crime Division. The case was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

“I want to acknowledge the exceptional work of the prosecution team of Beth Silverman and Heather Steggell in presenting their case with professionalism and diligence,” District Attorney Hochman added. “These experienced prosecutors and detectives investigated and prosecuted this case over eight years, painstakingly putting together each piece of this murder puzzle to overcome the lies and deception of Monica Sementilli and her lover who thought they had made a clean getaway.”

Sentencing for Monica Sementilli is scheduled for June 23 in Department 101 of the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

Two women convicted of murder this week and I am positive there were more than that convicted.

Why not choose divorce over murder? These women had options. moo
