@mark1969 does she have a Belgian or dual passport? If so, you could try the info on this website to get help in Belgium. Maybe that would help in getting things done by US police.

Response:

The People's Republic of China does not allow dual citizenship like some countries do (such as U.S. and Canada).

Where are you?

There was a case, I think Sam Sayers, where tons of drone footage was taken and posted on line and they asked the public to review and mark anything unusual. I would be willing to help do that if we could get drone footage. I do believe this was an accident and the truck is just hidden and waiting to be found.

This is a great idea. They also did that with missing Malaysian Flight, looking at satellite images.

Is there any locations other than what we have read in the news reports that Fang made mention of?

For instance, how about prior to her actually leaving China for her trip. Did she mention specific places she was interested in seeing while in the US, in Southern California?

Did she book any hotels or attractions?

Is the family able to log into her credit card account to see places she may have used it?

This is a great question! Surely if she was planning this trip for some time, she would mention sites she would want to see or experiences she would want to enjoy. If family has access to her laptop or computer they could also search history for potential sites she was researching.

Whenever my mother used to go traveling she would always type up an itinerary to leave with us, her family.
It always proved useful.

Since I think public media regarding the missing are allowed on WS, I can say with some confidence that John Root Fitzpatrick had only one address in Morongo Valley, a mobile home park called the Roadrunner. I used publicly available records from an online service to get that information.

I believe Jin Fang traveled with cash, but it would be very helpful to know if she also had an ATM card. Since she was also spending time in Europe, she could have had a credit card. The bills and records for those cards have to be available somewhere (most people manage these things online - mine are all managed from my phone, it's way easier for me).

One thing the daughters could do, if they knew what bank she had accounts tied to, is ask the bank to begin sending paper statements to whatever physical address Jin Fang used to open the account (if they know that address, they can then get information from the paper statements). I believe every woman should have a trusted relative or friend with access to her banking accounts (in my case, it's my daughter as well as my husband - as usually, husband and I travel together and just the difficulty of laying hands on cash, should anything happen to us, would be much eased by my daughter's access to my savings account).

And I will say I never thought about such things until I hit the age of 50, and even then, was pretty lax. Being here on WS has changed that. WS is doing great public service for all of us, by allowing us insight into dangerous situations that all people face, but which women face differently than men.

A key thing to find out would be to see if anyone had made a major withdrawal (or series of withdrawals) from the account to which her ATM card is attached. If she truly didn't have digital access to funds, I find that astonishing, but it would still be useful information.

Here's a picture from the Roadrunner Park. There are lots of others. If Jin Fang had looked through these pictures of Morongo Valley and area, she might well have thought it had the beauty of an exotic place. You can see more on maps.google.com of course.

IMO

At least the pool is clean.

Fang her character is unfortunetally not that of a planner ...she easy goes with the flow ....seize the day ... and is willing to thrust everybody ... Ofcourse this behaviour is not in our advantage to search her now....

The photos make it seem like a very rural area. The trailer homes are very old. From the exterior, it appears to be trapped in time, 50 years ago. Last time I looked through Zillow listings from recent years, and the interiors of many have been updated and are nice. It is a very "simple" life I think would be a good way to put it, not a lot of luxury.
The stereotype in American movies is often that these types of places are the home for unsavory characters. That is not usually the case. Although, one of the neighbors does appear on the sex offender registry.

So, I'm guessing no one has any credit card or phone records access, is that right?

Could she have wanted to see some part of California's coast? Could they have been headed to San Diego? If she was a spontaneous person, I guess it might be hard to predict.

I'm saying that it's out in the middle of nowhere. Nothing around the area for miles and miles.
Desolate.

I hope that I've explained it for you.

I don't see why he would spend so much time with her if he wanted to murder her. He obviously knew she was sending pictures and staying in contact with family. He was very clearly aware that his face was very visible on those pictures, he even posed.

They most likely had some sort of accident.
He could have done something to her out of anger and/or while under the influence. He has a history of being volatile and substance misuse. Murder often is not planned.

Wow, she must have really trusted JRF a lot and believed they’d get along well to not have made any separate plans or accommodations. JMO*

Then, do you think she intended to spend her entire 3 months with JRF, and not to do any other sightseeing—independently?

* acronym that stands for ‘just my opinion’
