She saw him shooting at another man... and tried to stop him. That is how she was shot.

Santa Monica gets low laying fog rolling in off the ocean, quite often. It might have been foggy today.

Yes, that was confusing...then he didn't answer a reporter's question trying to confirm that just 2 bodies were located inside the house.

Only 1 woman was shot on campus?
I am totally confused now. We heard witnesses who specifically saw 2 women shot at the college.

6 dead - 2 or 3 injured.

The dead body at the college IS the suspect.

Body seen in aerial photos recently confirmed to be that of the suspect. He was shot in the library, expired, then body removed from the library.

I'm wondering if one of the victims in the area of the burning house *could* be the suspect's mother. (Again, shades of Adam Lanza.)

ETA: Suspect may have borrowed Mother's car and she was *not* at the scene.
