Salem The last confirmed sighting was at a family get together on Aug. 6th & the neighbors said they hadn't seen Hasanni in around 2 weeks....some neighbors didn't even know there were children in the home.

It's like they never took either child outside to play or even for walks....kept them indoors all day. I do wonder what did they do to entertain them ever.

The house in the downstairs living room is bare from videos...no toy boxes etc. Yeah Hasanni had some toys in his room, but even with the 2 children being out of the home when the reporters came....you'd think there would be some sign of some toys somewhere...

The other thing that bugs me is no pictures of them on the walls etc.

OT: Off to take a quick shower & I pray that we have some news by the time I get done...along with grabbing something to eat.

If you're looking for certian videos or early articles they are all posted in the media thread...easiest way to find them is there!

Wish we knew why they are SO positive it is a homicide investigation...

I know, right? They MUST have something good, though.

Yeah, I think he'll give up his right to remain silent and throw Jennifer under the bus, carrying his baby and all.

{{{ITA}}}} ....and he'll toss her as far under that bus as he can. Her *only salvation at this point, is if she talks as well.....

If she's not been actively, physically involved in what happened to Hasanni, but knows or suspects that *he was the perp - but was keeping quiet out of fear or some misguided sense she was protecting her own baby, she's still guilty - and needs to talk to make sure that the blame is shared, and justice served as it should be!

My question is tho - with as many stories and variations of stories that he has told to date - how can LE know the truth when it's actually told? I'm thinking the only proof of the truth would be facts that lead to where little Hasanni is?

Wonder if the crime scene is the car? Maybe found all kinds of evidence, blood, hairs, fibers, etc...but as of now, can't link the crime scene to Ross...maybe? Yes, the crime scene may be his car, but defense will say 'not beyond a reasonable doubt' can you say Ross is the murderer.

Just thinking and wondering if the evidence found in the car is what led to the arrest. Now, if only Ross would just tell LE where the little guy was left...jmo

Found - little girl in CA., after all these years
Arrest - Ross and Jennifer for missing Hasanni
Search - Lindsey Baum

Sure was a productive day on Web Sleuths and thanks to all the sleuthers, lots of info about each crime. Thanks you guys...

I had to step away for a bit but can't seem to get away from this case. I've been tossing it over and over and over in my mind. I know we all think LR is probably guilty of murdering little Hasanni but it is just as possible that Jennifer did it. Jennifer is pregnant...raging hormones, long hours at work, an a$$hole for a BF and two young children. Who's to say she didn't just snap. Maybe she shook him, hit him, beat him or otherwise hurt him in a fit of rage. I'm really thinking JC may be the one responsible for Hasanni's death and if she isn't then I'm certain she was involved in the cover up.
I'm sitting on pins and needles here but I'm thinking we should be hearing something on the 10:00 news.JMO

Jennifer Campbell, Hasanni's aunt and foster mother, was arrested on suspicion of murder around 1:50 p.m. at the Union City BART station, Thomason said. Around 2:45 p.m., Louis Ross was arrested on the same charge at his Fremont home.

"We believe Hasanni Campbell is no longer alive and we have the people responsible," Thomason said.

Ross, who used to live in Maryland, had a restraining order filed against him there in 2005. He also has had a number of judgments for unpaid state taxes there, including a number of income tax liens totaling thousands of dollars.

..

Plainclothes Oakland police officers again searched the couple's home Friday, starting about 2:30 p.m. and continuing into the night. Officers could be seen searching a bedroom above the garage, going through clothes and papers and flipping the mattress. Between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m., police officers removed a gray computer CPU tower and screen from the house. Two dogs, one large and tan-colored and the other black and white, were removed from the home and loaded into Fremont city vehicles.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers left the house with two grocery-sized paper evidence bags as they prepared to wrap up the search. Fremont police provided security during the search and restricted traffic to and from the subdivision for several hours.

I wonder how long it will be before some defense lawyer tries to use the Jaycee Dugard case to try to argue that, without a body, his client must be innocent?

I am glad Jaycee Dugard is alive and well, but I think her case just made LE's job harder. Not mention the job of the prosecuting attornies.

Not really, out of tens of thousands of kids, if not hundreds of thousands, that are missing, only five or so have been found alive in the past two decades. Only about 3 percent of abductions are stranger abductions and the rest are parental or caregiver murders reported as abductions. The sad truth is most missing kids are murdered by their caregivers from the get go.

Thank you kindly, SuziQ for the reassurance. I was imagining certain smug defense lawyers using the 'no body, no case' argument.

*snipped*

Friday, Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason said.

"Right now, in this investigation, it's not a missing persons case anymore," Thomason said. "It is a homicide investigation."

Jennifer Campbell, Hasanni's aunt and foster mother, was arrested on suspicion of murder around 1:50 p.m. at the Union City BART station, Thomason said. Around 2:45 p.m., Louis Ross was arrested on the same charge at his Fremont home.

Sounds a lot like GUILTY to me.

Hi mom!:) I would love to know what LE knows right now. The Sunshine laws have spoiled me. It is hard to resign myself to wait for trials in other cases. sigh!
