I just wanted to thank everyone for all the sleuthing. Considering how high this search result has ranked in Google news (how I came here), I'm sure we've had an effect on the news media, the public, and perhaps even LE. And I am inclined to believe LR has read here, too.

I wanted to ask you all for an opinion. My wife said her heart breaks every time she passes by the sad little memorial for Hasanni that LR and JC and company set up. It's even more pathetic than before -- wilted balloons, a few cheap candles and even the sign has been pushed off to the side and there's an empty easel where it used to be.

We talked with some neighbors about possibly putting up a nice sign and adding flowers or stuffed animals, but they felt the community wouldn't add to it. Their feeling was that LR tainted that location by exploiting the neighborhood, people's sympathies and fears about their own children's safety, and by using the site as "proof" of his innocence. Additionally, the location isn't the best since cars need to park in the driveway (thus it has been pushed to the very edge).

Is there a good location in the Bay Area where we could set up a memorial that's fitting for Hasanni? We were talking about his "home" in Fremont, but that again feels kind of negative too. If he were school age, the school would feel appropriate as a "safe place" that he may have enjoyed to remember him at.

Any suggestions? Do we know which school he went to? I know he hadn't started his new school or grade yet, if I recall correctly. A park he loved? Something? I do kind of dislike the idea of erecting something in that parking lot, too, since it seems like a site of betrayal of Hasanni and coverup rather than a place of truth and care.

If we come up with something, we have a small group who would definitely go out to add to it. Maybe the locals here could too.

bolded by me.

Protect-R-Babys mentioned that Hasanni used to go to James Leitch Elementary School in Fremont's Warm Springs District. Maybe that would be a good place? I wonder if people at the school, caring teachers or kids, might be setting up a little memorial.

Louis Welton Ross III was arrested in 2001, in Fairfax Virginia, for an offense described at 'failure to feed animals' section 3.1-796.68 of the Va Code of Laws. He subsequently did not go to court and was convicted in his absence. The fines levied against him totaling $290 remain unpaid to date.

Virginia's Judicial Website is free to the general public and I have provided you a link to view this information. It contains a wealth of information that may be of interest to your viewers.

I am of the opinion that someone who would willingly neglect to feed a helpless animal....well....it's your story now.

You go SF! I'm sure you were not the only one from WS to enlighten the media...I feel quite confident that the sleuthing we all did had a direct effect on this case. For me, that is just sooooooo cool!

G help us all. Hopefully it isn't as bad as we are all thinking. Wish I had a sword and was nearby, of course to just protect myself and other children nearby.

Listened to the vid earlier for the first time (actually first of any of his vids)...He sounds Jamiciain or Haitian. Has anyone checked there?

I thought he had some kind of Caribbean or Bahamian accent right from the beginning--or even African who speaks English as a second language. Just a slight lilt that made me think he might have been raised by folks from one of those areas.

I'm sure the media and law enforcement both read here. It's like having hundreds of employees doing the grunt work. ETA: And hundreds of heads are better than one. ;)

*snipped*
"A law enforcement source told KTVU that a compelling piece of evidence is that no one ever saw the little boy in the busy Rockridge neighborhood where his foster father reported him missing 18 days ago.

The source also says that the fact that very few tips have come in point to the couple as being the only ones who really know what happened to their foster son.

KTVU has learned that Ross has waived his right to remain silent, and has been talking to police.

“It would not surprise me in any way that the police is seeking to divide and conquer by arresting and seeing if they have something to say that they haven't already said,” said the couple’s legal advisor John Burris.

Burris told KTVU that the district attorney has until next Tuesday to decide whether to bring charges against Louis Ross and Jennifer Cambpell."

BBM

If he's been talking, what is the HOLD UP?!?! Grrrrrrrrr......

LoL YA KNOW!!!I really hope Jennifer told the truth..Hard to believe this "MOMS GONE " is becoming a habit!!! Yes finding anything CLEAN is a feat in itself with kids. Maybe there house was so junkie they through everything in the backyard. I think JC will break.. They must of found blood in the car.. Why would JC meet the police @ Union City BART when they arrested LR @ the house she must have told them something??

bolded by me.

I wonder if she met them at BART, or if they were following her and decided they better arrest her before she got on a train ? Pretty dramatic.

The news this a.m. is that she is already transferred to Santa Rita Women's Prison. LR is in jail in Oakland. Sorry if this has already been posted.

I was wondering the same thing 'lumbo...if she just said 'you know what, this is f*cking OVER!' and called LE. LE reported that LR seemed to be expecting it so maybe she told him she was blowing the lid? I don't see any reason they'd have felt the need to go hunt her down. Neither of them showed any signs of going anywhere. It's really odd that they got HER first and then almost an hour went by before they got him.

She's been transferred, wow, that wouldn't make 'going home' look like an option, would it?

Hi momtective! My opinion only...I would be shocked if Ross would cover for ANYONE but himself. Ross is way too narcissistic to think of helping anyone but Ross...especially putting himself in the spotlight of a murder charge. NO Way mho...I want to know if there was an insurance policy on little Hasanni, taken out by Ross and perhaps Jennifer. I can't imagine what the motive would be to do away with a special needs child that they both claim to have wanted. don't know if Jennifer is part of the murder - maybe guilty of obstruction of justice...maybe accessory...can't imagine that she murdered Hasanni. Hopefully, she is scared for her life right now and will give any and all information she is privy to. mho
Life Insurance was a motive Ive considered. The minute I heard the "foster father" was in an '03 Beamer yet the "foster mother" worked in a SHOE STORE(although its supposedly "upscale") & seeing how they conducted themselves my hinky meter was raised .Factor in their large home in brutal real estate market & its obvious why!!!!!!!! Id LOVE to know their TRUE financial profile as I suspect thingss arent as they seem(I think Ross & Campbell are allllllllll about appearances!)
There was another case of financially troubled foster parents having taken out a policy on a foster child who then died under rather mysterious circumstances so its not unusual.
If Ross didnt murder this gorgeous little innocent in a rage I fear he committed pre-meditated murder for financial gain! :(

Well, supposedly she was due to go in to Oakland for more questioning but the officers decided to grab her right there at BART. So she probably was getting on BART and heading to Oakland. I wonder if it was done to put the fear of God in her a little? I just don't know. Or maybe she did call LE and "give it up"!!

"Going home" doesn't look like an option any more. I wonder if they transferred her there (Santa Rita Women's Prison) because of her condition, though?

The big one is from the realtor's site Noway, when it was listed for sale. It would have been probably early 2008. I don't know the origin of the second one.

Thank you!

That would explain why the shrubs are so neatly trimmed. The second one is from August 2009 and the shrubs are longer.

I had wondered if during all this they trimmed the shrubs but wanted to ask without saying why I was asking.

Hey 'lumbo, thanks for the local news info about where Jennifer is being held. I wouldn't have found those arrest reports without your info.
