Where do we go from here? I'm lost as to what happened. So much time has gone by when they should have been looking for a murderer. Instead time was lost with all the speculation that it was a lovers triangle. I hope the LE get the ball rolling now.

Agreed. I had a quite bizarre and frightening license plate related incident happen a couple of weeks ago. My rear plate had apparently been switched with one from a stolen car and I was pulled over by numerous cops, at gunpoint (and to think I'd never had a speeding ticket). They took the stolen plate and told me I'd probably get pulled over again for missing it, unless I switched the front plate to the rear. They had some scanning technology that checked rear plates when driving by. It blows me away that cases like this go undetected, or people un-found, when such crazy technology is available.

I preface my post by saying that I haven't read through this entire thread so please excuse me if this has been mentioned before.

I was looking at photos of Sal and Gianni, and as brothers, they resemble each other heavily, especially at night in a dark parking lot. I'm wondering if this was a case of mistaken identity and Sal was not the intended target. Someone saw Sal with Ilona and mistook him for Gianni and things just spiralled out of control from there with everyone deceased.

The question is, what do police know about what happened in that parking lot early that morning?

Since they're not talking, 10News called the head of mall security, but they too would not comment on what surveillance cameras may or may not have captured. 10News also called and left a message for the mall's general manager, but our call was not returned.

Mall security would not tell us what, if anything was captured on surveillance cameras. So Thursday evening, we went back to Mission Valley - to the mall parking lot where the double shooting occurred.

La Primavera was being opened by Lenny Belvedere, Gianni's father. The phone number of that website is Lenny's. I don't know who said they were "the social media guy" but they obviously have access to the password for the La Primavera FB account.

Belvedere registered the name "La Primavera Speciality Foods" in Provo, Utah. Along with his sister, Laura Belvedere, Gianni Belvedere is listed as the owner. The business claims to specialize in "gluten free pizza and pasta." Members of his family and his late fiancee, Ilona, had shared Primavera's photos on Facebook, reports ABC San Diego.

The vehicle's parked really badly. It looks as though it didn't have time to stop properly, or the driver attempted to drive away. It's not just the angle of the car, I'm looking at the way the the tyres are pointing. Most people straighten their wheels when they stop, don't they? Or is that just me and my fussy ways?

Such a strange and tragic case.

It seems as if Gianni disappeared first - 10pm on 12/23. Reports that he was at the mall don't seem to be confirmed anywhere. I wonder if he was being held by whoever did this. Maybe he was forced to call Sal and Ilona to meet at the mall and they were then killed to send a message. Have police released anything related to the phone records of any of the victims?

Then we have the 911 call from Ilona. Was it ever confirmed where she and Sal were in the car? Was she driving? Was he driving? Front seat, back seat? Was the car running?

Someone mentioned upthread that while Gianni has been missing the general theory of the public has been a love triangle. Maybe the killer(s) had this in mind while they kept Gianni out of site.

Hopefully the press conference will give us some more details - especially how long Gianni had been dead. I think he is the key to figuring this out.

This is exactly how I pictured the hoodie, I don't know why they said unique since I have seen a few like that this fall/winter as a new style.
I thought I had missed something tuning in to the presser but now I guess I heard it all except hello. I was hoping they would show some video of the perp since I feel like they have some.

OT - unique = only one. can't be "very" unique, or "really" unique. Either it is or it is not. No degrees of unique. Why do they say this?
