I don't in any way want to give any impression of a "mob hit" as you say. That insinuates organized crime, ethnicity issues etc. There is an old saying...don't do business with and don't loan money to your friends and especially not to your family. IMO this situation seems to have both involved. I only hope that these three fine young people did not get mixed up in a deep seeded business deal gone wrong. This is just my opinion, but is being investigated by MSM as well.

And a few other questions that are driving me nuts? Why so close to the holidays? Did someone lie to a boyfriend or brother and say something happened with one of the brothers? They had to know who was in the back seat of their car right? Did they let him in? What made Gianni so much different than the other 2 who's body was driven to Riverside? Did the killer move him out of a garage because it started to smell and that's why the Window is an inch or 2 down? This has to be an incredibly personal case to drive a rotting body 90 miles. Why at the mall that night? I'm sure all 3 were together more often than not.

There is an article from a 2009 in Utah that begins the whole discussion about product, recipes and family structure and more importantly "trademarks". And also the partners involved and depth of family holdings. A local MSM touched on this as well. In the food business you just don't take family "recipes" , "names" , etc. and go rogue then trademark them as your own.

Gianni still lived in Utah at that time.

Whew, you keep asking these hard questions. I've yet to grasp the business changes. I know Sandyggo probably could answer your question. Further back there might be some posts that may explain some of it.

Here's something.

Gianni Belvedere: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
http://www.heavy.com/news/2014/01/salvatore-belvedere-brother-murder-riverside/

"Both brothers previously worked at the family's restaurant, Mario's, in Lakeside, California. The business closed its doors in December 2013 and reverted to former owners. Previously, Mario's had been known as Ottavio's, which was the name of a restaurant owned by the Belvedere family in Provo, Utah that closed in 2009."

This article is more about Gianni's launch of his business, La Primavera Specialty Foods.

I am not suggesting that anyone within the family is directly involved or that all three killings collectively were for this purpose. But when it comes to these matters there are many people and a lot of money involved. When it comes to trademarks, they get tricky, time consuming to get approved and expensive. And ultimately a lot of investors involved. This is just my opinion as to a motive to harm Gianni. With the windows in the car tinted, he may not have been targeted.

Jggordo - good find on the article! Hopefully more will be divulged in the near future before anyone else gets hurt.

Thanks, jggordo. What an informative article. I guess Uncle Otto, who knew some of the details of the mall shootings even though he lived in Utah, is this Ottavio mentioned in the article. They sound like a close family. Was the business Gianni planned to launch part of the new business they're talking about here?
I'm still trying to sort this out.

"That's because Sicilian owners Vic Balsano and his cousins Lenny and Ottavio Belvedere are planning to launch full-time into their prepackaged food-making business, Primavera Foods . . ."

Ottavio’s in Provo closing its doors this weekend

"The building is also home to the restaurant's parent company, Tribeca Corp., and Pacific Development, a real estate business owned by the Belvederes."

This case can be solved, IMO. I just hope LE is doing as much work as we are.

Person of interest" sought in triple murder
http://www.cbs8.com/story/24540576/p...-triple-murder

"I understand the want for information in this case. ... I can assure you that if this case can be solved, this case will be solved, and it will be solved lawfully, morally and ethically," SDPD homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said. "I expect to be releasing additional information if it is significant and as it comes about."

Thinking about Ilona's former employer and friend, Andre, who was very vocal and involved in speaking in the news when this first happened. Remember he put together a vigil? I hope he's doing alright. It must be very hard on all the loved ones waiting for this case to be solved.

CuriousMe thank you for bringing this forward. I agree. IMO they know who is involved but are waiting on DNA from Gianni's car and autopsy results and such to actually prove it. As of only a very few days ago they were stating that his full autopsy results were not final. And this is nearly three weeks later. So I agree with you.

]I am wondering if "Uncle Otto" and Ottavio are not possibly the same person. I[/B]DK. Here is a link from a current source that kind of connects some dots about names, trademarks and such:
http://www.10news.com/news/investig...ess-started-by-murder-victim-gianni-belvedere
Some of these links have been on earlier but have been updated since by MSM. So forgive me if I repeat one. And CuriousMe thank you.

If you do a few searches for the name Ottavio, several famous people with that name were nicknamed "otto". IMO

All of them were shot in the head so if very indicative of a planned execution and designed to send a message. It was not a casual encounter.

http://www.[link removed]/1126217/s...ide-gianni-belvedere-cause-of-death-revealed/

An FBI agent theorized, as many of us have, that it had to with drugs or money. The family was close knit and the business end of it very interesting. Gianni never really worked, unless it was tied to the family business and then went out on his own but the business was not really up and running.

Giannii's FB was public and now it's private so it's likely that all the messages are being further analyzed.

Also, Ilona Flint didn't call police after she was shot, as was initially thought. She called right before and during the call said, "Ouch, I've been shot".

Why does she have so many names? Ilona Gregorievna and Ilona Gregorievna Gorshkova. Here's a post from her Live Journal, http://gregorievna.livejournal.com/, from 2006
"when i visited the cemetary today, it was sad to see the contrast of the loved graves and the not so loved ones...
it really upset me because most of the graves were bare, empty, and forgotten.
it really terrified me.
i dont want to be one of those graves."

It's an old journal but she talks about Gianni, prozac and makes a reference to possibly being on some other kind of medication.

Most people are automatically assuming that it has do with the guys but you never know.

The Belvedere family does not seem to have $'s (or doesn't want to part with it) based on their fundraising pleas which I found interesting.

Welcome LasVegasNewsWorld :welcome:

Thank you for your insight.! It's great having new eyes look at this story and sharing information. I'm curious if you knew the family at all. Or even more curious I should say on how can you tell Gianni's FB was once public and of course it's now private. It's been pretty much so shut down since the beginning and I don't ever recall it being public since that tragic night. TIA

I personally saw the page and I should have taken screenshots - I usually do about 99.9% of the time but I was working on another article so I read through it, bookmarked it and could not access again. I do not know the family.
