Someone please post the link to the crimestoppers page. I'm anxious to see how much the reward jumped.

The San Diego Crime Stoppers page is sdcrimestoppers.com, although I wasn't able to find anything specific to these 3 on there. I'm sure it's there, I just couldn't find it. There's no search function that I could find on the page so it's not terribly user friendly... sorry I can't be more help there.

The best I could find was this article: http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/loc...micide-Belvedere-Flint-Mystery-249678111.html which refers to this website that is apparently set up "with the help of Crime Stoppers": https://sites.google.com/a/justice4sd3.com/justice-for-belvedere-flint/home

I could be mistaken but I believe that a "crimestoppers" reward is handled through LE and any private reward or funds from private family rewards are separate from that. If private funds are given to LE in a lump sum to increase that "crimestoppers" fund at their discretion. A private fund can be used for investigative fees or reward at their discretion. This is partially how "reward funds" can get dicey IMO

Also I feel that if LE is not out there asking for "tips" or the public's help to solve this crime that they have a good idea who may be involved yet not the proof do get an arrest yet. If a Detective says "I have no comment" that means "I can't tell you yet".

It was mentioned on the news last night that it would be 1-2 days before they knew how much was raised. Sorry no link but that was reported on live news KFMB. Can you find the link that shows the 10K reward from Crimestoppers? I have no idea how to find that information on their site. TIA

That was the impression I got as well. Crime Stoppers initially put up $10,000 but it sounds like anything beyond that is privately funded through the family, donations, etc. and kept separate. I don't know this for sure, it's just the feeling I got from reading the articles and comments about the reward. The article I linked above said "The website is designed to raise more money for the Belvedere-Flint reward fund currently set up with the help of San Diego’s Crime Stoppers." I can read that two different ways... one is that they're helping with the web site, and another is that they're helping with the fund. Maybe it's both. I still can't find anything on the Crime Stoppers site itself about it.

Just when I thought I was already confused, I also found this article: http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/apr/11/belvedere-fund-raiser-shooting/ which says "Previous donors and Crime Stoppers have put up a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the killer or killers." So... apparently at least some of that initial $10,000 was from private donations too.

As far as I can tell there are at least three "Justice" sites out there for them.
One's here on FB: https://www.facebook.com/justicegiannisalilona. I'm not clear on who's running this one.

One's here: http://www.justice4sd3.com/

And one's here: https://sites.google.com/a/justice4sd3.com/justice-for-belvedere-flint/home - this one looks pretty new and still very much "in progress."

The last two both link to the same donation site which appears to be linked to the private fundraising efforts. There's not much on the last site, but if you go to the link for their fundraising page, it shows recent donations including some from the silent auction over the weekend. Sorry I didn't link to the donation site directly, but I think that might be a TOS violation since it's a fundraising thing. It's not hard to find from either the last two Justice sites or the news articles though. I don't see a link to it from the FB Justice site yet, but I imagine it'll be there eventually.

<modsnip>The family who Ive met on several occasions parents included are extremely nice people. The parents are devastated they have lost their only 2 sons. <modsnip>There should be absolutely nothing taking away from the focus of getting justice.<modsnip> I sincerely hope this case gets solved and I sincerely hope that WS is apart of making that happen. <modsnip> Im happy to share any information I have with compassionate people who care about the end result but I am not going to contribute to hurting the families. I have tough skin but the victims families are lucky to even have skin. BE NICE.

Crimestoppers gives you $1000 the rest of the money was provided via the family and donations. If you need more than a 1000 you need to request a hearing where you basically beg for them to give you more money.

:grouphug: Hi to Everyone! Been sick, but trying to follow along. Saw the sisters on the news.

:bump: Tomorrow is the fundraiser to increase the reward fund. Great job, thebest.

I hope you're feeling better. Your insightful thoughts have been missed. If I ever get married and get a divorce you need to be the mediator :P

Nice job on them, Best! Thanks for clarifying. :) The pics you've put up are great.

ETA: I hope nothing I said came across as negative re: the Justice and reward sites or anyone's intentions here. I was just honestly confused by how it all works. I have (thank goodness!) never had to deal with a reward fund, crime stoppers, etc. for my own loved one. I too hope for justice for them, even better if we can somehow help here on WS.

I tried I'm just not a Web designer if you couldn't already tell haha but I really want everyone to have access to the same general facts that way there is no speculation on certain things. I've never felt this personally towards a cause aside from my usual animal rights things I have going on because I feel animals are defenseless but I'm realizing everything is defenseless depending on the situation. I thought it was drug deal gone bad until I talked to a former drug dealer and he said drug dealers are way more low profile than that and it made sense. I hope no others families are ever in that situation especially by that same murderer :/

I never found you offensive :) it's great when we all ask questions even about the family it just sucks when it crosses the line for no reason or we start getting mad at each other it's not necessary. I think whoever did this will be caught soon because obviously more than one person knows about it if the murderer got in the passenger side of the Honda I just hope it's not someone close to the family or even extended family or a bitter former employee.

I'm glad I didn't inadvertently offend you. I definitely never meant to.

I think the site looks great! Part of my job involves critiquing websites and the one you did looks better than dozens I've worked on, so kudos. I'm glad you've taken such a personal interest in this case. I think sometimes that's what the families need - someone close enough to care, able to help, but possibly distant enough to be somewhat objective.

I keep coming back to the fact that someone killed 3 people that night, and apparently that someone paced around the mall for awhile. Is it really possible one person did this without help? If they had help why have their "helpers" not come forward yet? It's maddening.

I think whoever did it will scare someone enough to make them come forward possibly a girlfriend or someone who knows something. It's so crazy the suspect was at the mall at different times after Gianni disappeared I just don't understand what could be so serious to kill 3 people and in such a violent way. Ilonas injuries were all to her left side I wonder what prompted her to call 911 was it after Sal was shot? Or did she just recognize the person? Why hasn't law enforcement released the pictures of the suspect? I can't imagine how unsafe the families must feel

I am still curious as to why there has not been one word that I'm aware of regarding the Riverside connection. If it was a matter of just ditching the car that could have been done anywhere, not necessary to go 100 miles to the north, IMO. And it seems all the possible DNA or fingerprint evidence would be there along with the car I think.

Riverside neighbors Los Angeles and it's been my experience that they are even more incompetent than sd
