Is it too early to wonder who will play HW in the Life Time movie? That is if it hasn't already been made.

Weinstein sentenced to 23 years for sexual assaults

...
Harvey Weinstein was sentenced Wednesday to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault, a sight the Hollywood mogul's multitude of accusers thought they would never see.
...
Onlookers applauded the two women whom Weinstein was convicted of assaulting as they arrived in court.
...
One of Weinstein's lawyers, Donna Rotunno, told the court he faced an uphill fight from the start of the trial, with media coverage of his allegations and the #MeToo movement making it impossible for him to get a truly fair shake.

“How can we deny the fact that what happened before we walked in here had an impact?” Rotunno asked.
...
After sentencing, Weinstein will be transferred to the state prison system.

Martin Horn, a former city corrections commissioner, said Weinstein’s celebrity status could make him a target for another inmate looking to make a name for himself, while the gravity of his convictions and sentence could raise suicide concerns.

“They're going to make sure that nothing happens to him while he's in their custody. Not because he's important, but just from a public relations point of view, it would be awfully embarrassing," said Horn, who now teaches at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Oh, except I like him! He is hilarious on Curb your Enthusiasm.

But, yeah, he does look like Weinstein. Poor thing.

It's a dangerous time to be in prison. I expect coronavirus to hit prisons and county jails very hard.

He sure is. I have read several articles saying he had a ‘mild’ heart attack and had an angioplasty...now it has changed to high blood pressure. That PR machine seems to be still spinning as they are getting ready to extradite him to LA.

Pretty pathetic that there was no one sitting on his side of the court yesterday but his ‘paid’ lawyers and PR people. Kind of says it all.

Is there anything he could take that would make his blood pressure shoot up so they would take him to the hospital? Yes, I am that cynical...at least about him. :(

  • #777
He could have purposely not taken his prescribed B/P meds. ( If he is currently on any )That could/ would certainly effect his B/P.

Harvey Weinstein's Los Angeles trial: What happens next?
In fact, on Wednesday following his New York sentence, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey announced she had begun the process of extraditing Weinstein to California to face the sexual assault charges that were filed there in January. He has not yet been arraigned.

But wouldn't everyone's blood pressure sky rock, if they were informed, that they would be in the Clink for 23 years, due to stress+++.

Well, we don't see most criminals whisked off to the hospital for a stay after they are convicted. The normal route is directly to prison.
