Well, for sure, everybody here has done a much better job sleuthing for timelines, photos and whatnot, than the media!Yes - it's hard to keep up with what is media error, LE dodging and/or parent memory lapse...

So now I'm really confused! Even though the store isn't right next to the alley where the car was parked, the back door goes into this alley?![]()
Isn't it the door in the archway?
I found Ross's choice of words in this interview interesting.
No sightings
After he reported Hasanni missing, Ross said, police seemed to blame the family first. Authorities removed Hasanni's 1-year-old sister and put her in another foster home, he said.
"We were very upset," he said. "We were dealing with a loss of a child, and the other child was taken from us.
"All of a sudden it was like we were thrown against the wall," Ross said. "We had to prove we were not responsible - but our son is out there missing. We cannot be part of the search."
Colummbo Thanks for noticing the comments in the article I posted! :blowkiss:
I hadn't noticed any comments from any locals in most of the articles. Time to start checking them all out. It would really helps if there are people who know them or live by them......since so far they both (LWR & JC ) seem to be ghosts or invisible on-line....can't find hardly nothing about them sleuthing!

I know panthera, doesn't that seem like a really long trek? Either way, through the building or down the sidewalks...it's a long way! Way too far to have left Hassani alone.
His cerebral palsy must have worsened, as he was fine on the playground and needed only some assistance
...Store owner John Riker said he was surprised to learn that Campbell ever had her foster children with her at work.
"Jen's six months pregnant, She has an 18-month-old and a handicapped son," said Riker. "This is not a day care center; it's a shoe store."...
...Authorities towed the car. Police and FBI agents have searched the couple's Fremont home and the neighborhood surrounding the shoe store but some family members question the Ross's story.
"It appears somewhat strange and I don't know. So, I don't really want to speculate," said Hassani's godmother Regina Douglas.
Yes, all your photos really do help a lot! I originally thought he only went around one corner of the building but now that it's two ~ and both Hassani and the car were completely out of sight I can't see why he didn't just call her. Never leave a child alone out of sight like that!! But then again, it seems he already had ~ at the junk yard. MOOthe picture at this link should help! It helped me (before I went to the actual location)! LOL

Oh I realize it isn't really that far, but my main concern is he'd be walking away with the car parked in the alley being completely out of his sight. MOOmomtective and panthera, I hope you got the links I posted for you ! It isn't a long trek! I was there yesterday and it's less than a minute to walk from the alley to the front of Shuz. I wasn't wearing a watch so I just counted off 1-2-3 etc and it was about a minute or under...and I don't walk as fast as I used to ! So a younger person would do this route in no time flat.
Yes - that is a long way out of earshot. I'd have trouble leaving a 9 year old that far away on a city street, let alone a 5 year old!
Plus add in he's claiming to be running late....wouldn't it be quicker to call with his cell when he parked the car that he was there & to ask her to open the door? Even if she didn't have a cell phone I'm sure he would have the # to the store saved in his cell to call.
He said he didn't call ahead cause he was running late, but why not do it once you were parked in the alley. Why carry the baby to the front of the store.......motion to JC to open the backdoor.....than walk back carrying the baby.
He claims he took the time to pop open the trunk where the stroller was(left the trunk popped open) & that Hassani was already taking his seat belt off....that he opened Hassani's door(cause it was to heavy for him to do alone)....he proceeded to the door. Add all that time in...isn't a quick phone call quicker? He also stated it took him 2-5minutes between leaving Hassani & getting back to the backdoor......& JC was already there asking where's Hassani?
One video shows a reporter that timed himself walking to the front of the store & it took him 40 seconds....how & why could it take LWR 2-5minutes?

The last video I posted is the most recent WhyaDuck! LR & JC are supposed to be out themselves handing out fliers near the store today. They were going to do so yesterday, but LR said JC wasn't feeling well.
Here's the video:

*Note: This video is the most recent that the 2 of them are interviewed too!
Notice the mentioning of LR speaking about Hassani in past tense in it! Saying Hassani WAS etc. When he describes what Hassani is like etc.!
I agree. I cannot see how getting the toddler out of the car and carrying her to the front of the store saved him any time. Calling the store would be much faster and wouldn't have left any of the kids alone in the alley ~ in or out of the car. It just doesn't make sense. Thx Angel, ur right abt LR not going into the store but I'm 99% positive (though we all know abt that 1% coming back to haunt us!) that Ross said he left Hassani at the back and waited but when she didn't come to the door he walked around to the front door. This may have been after he 1st walked by the the front window and motioned to JC.christee LR said he never went into the store at all. He went by the front door & motioned to JC to open the backdoor. JC went to the backdoor as LR went back around to it. She asked him "Where is Hassani?" LR claims he than handed the baby to a co-worker of hers & he says they both looked around for Hassani thinking he was hiding or something at first. They couldn't find him & he says he than called 911. IIRC
No photos of the inside of the store, but there are 4 pictures posted by Columbo who went to the site yesterday.

ITA. Wouldn't the reason he carried the baby with him be the same reason he should have had Hassani with him as well.
