Thank you for posting this - I couldn't remember the name of the company - LWR has a troubling past.

I found the corporate filings for the company but nothing of interest there. It is no longer active. Home address as the business address. No partners. Active and filed taxes in 2000 and 2001, then nothing, eventually revoked by the state of Maryland.

Anyone think a certain somebody could be an, ummmm, pharmaceutical engineer?
I'm a recovering addict. I've had that title since 1989 when I gave up the title 'coke addict.' I was a real winner, lemme tell ya! A certain someone's life sure seems to be a mirror image of the guy I got my stuff from. The similarities, based on what we've seen here, would scare you. And 'my' guy never did get caught. He was that d@mn good. He never touched the stuff personally and he didn't use it either. It was a business to him just like any other. The highlights? He was a super handsome black man. Educated, intelligent, well dressed..the works. Lived WAY beyond what outsiders would perceive as his means. He drove a black BMW with a shine that would blind you. The girl he 'lived with' was considerably younger, not 'all there' and had two small children. She was his cover and he paid all of her bills and other expenses in order to blend in and make himself appear normal. His whole life was a lie that he bought. He had no job and he was going to school to be a medical assistant. He was 38 back then. He had no criminal record with the exception of minor traffic citations. His stash was kept in abandoned cars on other people's property who had no affilation with drugs of any sort. This guy reminds me so much of that guy it's freaky so I have to wonder. Somebody over there obviously has money. At least, more money than a shoe store employee and a student.
I come from a family of cops. Therefore I have first hand knowledge of the fact that LE couldn't touch 'my' guy. No one would DARE testify against him, not because we were afraid, but because we all, in our drug induced stupor, really liked this guy.
Notice that NO ONE seems to be coming forward with information about Ross? No relatives, no friends, previous neighbors, business associates, school friends....nothing. Surely that in itself has to indicate that something is very wrong.

Fantastic Post.

I think you are spot on.

Thanks everyone for the great posts and updates.

Shutterfly: Congratulations on your sobriety.

As far as LR possibly being a "pharmaceutical engineer," that occurred to me, too--but so vaguely I couldn't quite put it in words. I also wondered if he would want to be a medical assistant because it would put him in the proximity of prescription drugs. AND I wondered if pharmaceuticals might have played a part in Hasanni's disappearance...

I'd still love to see the video tapes, though. You know that place is covered tightly. It'd be interesting to see where he was parked and how far he was from the car, where the children were, and what his demeanor was. We can tell by his demeanor if he seemed to be truly looking for a part, or just solidifying an alibi.

Also, I'd like to know if LE has confirmed if he really was working on an older car.
(bolding mine)

What I'm thinking is *if* he had anything to do with Hasanni being missing, it could've started at the salvage yard if Hasanni was left in the car and/or was crying, either in the car or out with LR. Maybe LR didn't find the car part because he had to leave there because Hasanni was crying, was too tired, etc and LR got angry with him and hit him? Then a cover up would start, including how the car was parked in the alley with the trunk lid open, Hasanni supposedly taken from outside the car, and so forth. MOO

It seems like swimming--or water exercises--would be great for Hasanni--therapeutic for his condition. But I am not an expert.

Nor am I an expert, but I am a pharmacist and wonder what, if any, medications Hasanni may have been on. Children with cerebral palsy can be on an array of meds ranging from anti-seizure medication to antispasmodic medication. Over 1/2 of children with CP have a seizure disorder. Being left in a hot environment, such as a car, could be devastating to a child with CP. CP can't be cured but it certainly can be controlled and imporoved on, especially with physical therapy etc. My heart aches for this child and what he must have gone through. mho

for Hasanni - :blowkiss:

Didn't one of the articles mention meds Hasanni needs?

I did read that he needs medication but the article didn't say which meds.

Brilliant post!!! How great that you can be so honest and forthright about a time in your life that must have been hell! Congratulations to you for your honesty and determination to maintain sobriety. :highfive:

I'm thinking a lot along those lines too. Something happened as a result of going to the salvage yard. The hot car and the crying are signs and add the need for medication I can see something very bad. MOO

That's exactly what I was thinking. A small part of me wonders if his visit was just to set an alibi for why his phone pinged in the area. BUT my strongest feeling is that the ball started rolling at the salvage yard. Especially after hearing there was a child crying in the car. Maybe the last straw for LR?

The problem with a his being a drug baron is the cops searched his house, his finances and have asked him the last time he ate prunes. They probably brought in cadaver dogs just in case Hassani was secreted under the floor boards. I doubt they brought in a drug sniffing dog though.

Do you think if you were one of his customers you'd clue LE in on his side business?

BBM I find that very odd indeed.

And this again makes me question the "job orientation" at Stanford. Had he been hired or was it more of a "job fair" for potential applicants? I'd think some red flags would come up if they actually had hired him. MOO

Exactly! I'm also thinking he could've had a seizure while in the car.MOO

 Ugh, that's so awful to hear. Imagine if that is what happened his last moments alone and crying in the car! :furious:

Highlighted by me...

Perhaps that was the reason for the visit to the auto scrap yard. Maybe something was secreted/retrieved from there?

BTW Congrats on your new life. Way to go!

Can't imagine his last moments anywhere with Ross - I wouldn't let Ross take my dog's temperature. mho
