It indicates JW doesn't think Heidi is coming back.

I was going to post this last evening, but got busy and never got to do it, and when I went to get the clip to post with this, I see it was updated for the LA local 10pm news, and the part I am about to reference was cut out in the later edition. In a clip that was shot just before the beginning of the vigil, the same reporter was talking to the same two friends, and again, the black-haired friend with the jewel in her nose, stated that Heidi's dog was found on the 29th floor of the building. I have heard her say this in at least one other interview sometime midweek last week. Almost every other bit of news we have seen that mentions a floor, states the dog was found on the 28th floor, not the 29th. It seems a friend as close to Heidi as she seems to be would be following the news enough to know that, but it also seems that if she is indeed that close, perhaps she is privy to info that the rest of us don't have. So which is it, the 28th floor, or the 29th? I hope LE scoured that entire building and am sure they know which floor the dog was found on, but it also seems like every tidbit of information that comes out in this case is still debatable. JMO

I'm new here and HP's disappearance has baffled me. I think she went to that building on her own volition with her dog. I'm not sure if she had an apartment there or went there regularly to meet someone or for other reasons. Maybe she was lured there or not, and whoever met her there didn't realize she would have a dog and didn't know what to do with it and decided to let it go on any floor so that someone could find it and take it away. Or a bad actor lured her there to take her to another location but couldn't leave the building discreetly with a dog and had to let it go. Or she went to the building to take care of business, was ambushed and taken into another apartment and whoever did it wouldn't want to keep a dog in the apartment lest it bark or attract attention, so that bad actor released it in the hallway or left it in the elevator.

Considering that Heidi was seen walking the dog in the alley behind H+F, and considering the level of security at the complex, and considering LE did get access to the video, I feel confident that they know how the dog got into the building, and most likely how it got to the particular floor it was allegedly found roaming around on, but they have never shared that, or any other info they have uncovered, at this point. JMO

My hunch after following similar cases to this (police this level of quiet) is they believe her to be alive. If she went into that building and never left, they would have found a body by now, or had a press conference.

This case reminds me a bit of the Uber driver that went missing in downtown LA. Family/friends had it in the media, police stayed quiet, he popped up a few weeks later.

What if she went in the building, never left, and is still alive? That's a possibility, IMHO.

Yes, in the video they show the document. It says Temporary emergency (ex parte) order.

Maybe nothing weird about it? ‘Course I know nothing about child custody matters. If the arrangement had been 50/50, could he have gotten therapy for his son without Heidi’s consent? MOO

its been awhile, but honestly w my older boys, their father had joint legal and i was supposed to discuss matters of health and education with him. however, he lived out of town and i always did whatever i wanted. he didnt object. but its possible that things were high conflict w HP and JW and therapy may be tied in w his primary care doc referring him so idk.

The current BF lives in the Bay Area, and if I understand correctly, the ex-husband was at their son's game, so presumably he has an alibi? We don't know about any other ex-intimate partners, but I think she may have had one or two, and as I mentioned yesterday, she may have had a stalker, or someone who randomly followed her. (That happened to me once; it was scary!)

Welcome to WS! As you are learning, there is a fine line that we sometimes have to tiptoe when it comes to such issues as sleuthing people who have not been named suspects or persons of interest. Per TOS, we are not allowed to do that, and with good reason, but just because we aren't discussing it, does not mean that many, if not most of us, do not think it needs to be considered. Having said that, of all the people you mentioned, the current known-of boyfriend would not be the one that I would be giving the side eye, or at the very least, he would be well down the list. Also, for me personally, there is the thought that we do not know who or how many intimate partners she may have had. I am still not convinced that she did not have a side to her we are not aware of. JMO

Also, I know someone else stated that in their location, 50/50 means no child support. This is not necessarily the case in NY. So California could be the same as NY. It goes by income, so the kids have the same standard of living at both houses.

It makes me wonder what the power balance was like in the co-parenting relationship? Did she frequently have to prove she was a good parent? I say that because of JWs comment about their different parenting styles, and her friend's about how hard Heidi worked in her custody " battle". The friend didn't use the word case ...

my step kids mother sings that tune as well "we have different parenting styles"... "my home is structured and organized"... it is actually because shes a giant control freak and kept us in court multiple times and eventually lost. i am betting HP wasnt as chummy as JW lets on.

I am catching up on this case. I live in Los Angeles. When sleuthing HP, I found she used to live a few blocks away from me before moving to the Palms area house. I also know DTLA quite well as I spend time there. I'm at my place in the desert right now, but will do some scouting when I get back.

The marijuana dispensary/business talk interests me because my area in LA is essentially known for the inordinate amount of weed dispensaries and all the cannabis cafes going in.

My area in the High Desert of CA (San Bernardino County) has been in the news a lot lately for the Lauren Cho case and for the weekly raids on the increasing number of illegal cannabis grows out here. Most owned by Mexican and Chinese cartels.

The Palms house and the multiple LLCs attached to it is definitely interesting.

On the alley behind H+F: Take a walk behind via Google Street view for a clearer sense of it. There's not much to it.

Someone mentioned the possibility that JS might keep a corporate apartment there at H+F (there are furnished units there) or that HP did for a side hustle. I like both of these thoughts, though this remains in the speculation only department.

This case is a lot! There are so many moving parts and layers involved.
