Could it be as simple as, say, a family law attorney who is a friend/salon client of the father giving him a bit of friendly legal advice to make the road ahead easier on the son, particularly given the courts’ covid backlogs?

It’s possible the police know a lot more than is public information and have clued dad in. Perhaps there is some inclination mom is not coming back even though they can’t/haven’t released that information publicly yet. There is often so much more going on behind the scenes that we know nothing about.

I'm thinking maybe she took some of that money and she was going to be charged, thus saying she was scared to her boyfriend. Just a wild guess.
I have lost the gist of the case despite reading the threads and the media thread. It just seems so, so fishy to me, so irritating that there isn't video to help see where her car went, entering the Hope & Flower apts, the timing of these wellness checks /muffin drops at her home, and then not doing anything for several days. Not accusing anyone, but it just all seems really strange and Occam's Razor thinking leads me to a very dark but well-trodden road. MOO.
you seem like you may not have had an amicable custody situation. We do, just like heidis ex claims they have as well. If there’s an amicable coparenting situation, there is no need to go to court when one parent has been missing for 48 hours.
We don't know what video LE has. I'm sure they have not released all of it.

Question for those who have been here much longer than I:
Is it unusual for WS folks who are LE or law Verified Experts to NOT participate in a discussion as this (complex - interesting - lots of missing parts)? I've noticed their absence -- just wondering. TIA.
Every initial intake form I’ve done for public school and doctors appointments/dentist etc has asked for parent info (both parents) and relationship status. You may only see it once but it’s usually there. Btw I have worked in family law and have seen how these things go. It’s not at al unheard of for divorced parents to argue over these things. Just because people personally may not have seen it themselves doesn’t mean it’s not a thing.I have been with my husband for 31 years and raised our sons in California. I never once was asked about my husbands consent or permission, at any doctor appt, or ER, etc.
Lol thank you!!!! I’m not understanding why everyone thinks it’s so nefarious. But maybe I’ve been working in law too long.I really don't see anything suspicious about the temporary order. It's good legal advice, IMO.
I agree that it's unlikely that a devoted mother would voluntarily disappear, but there are a lot of missing pieces to this puzzle. IF she voluntarily disappeared and is safe, a check of her bank withdrawals and credit/debit card activity will be most helpful in tracking her down. JMHO“She would never do this to her boy. She’s worked so hard, so hard in her custody battle for this little boy,” John said.
“Absolutely abnormal, unlikely,” friend Danielle Nadolny said. “She would never just leave.”

Yes as others have mentioned, depending on their standing order, it sounds like they probably sign off together on medical and school things. That is SO common. I’m also the room mom for one of my kids’ classes and I can’t tell you how many sets of two separate signed permission slips, letters home, etc. I get from divorced parents. There’s nothing crazy about this. They have been divorced for a very long time now. No one has come out of the woodwork insinuating that they have a toxic relationship. As far as we know, they attend sporting events together, can rely on eachother for timely pick ups, a friend coordinated with him to get inside her house, etc. Unfortunately he talks too much as as crime followers, that looks bad. I knew as soon as the family law stuff came up that it would blow up. I bet JS is happy to have the attention off of himself today!Lay people are hoping for the mother to return; lawyers are looking out for the legal interests. I don't know much about family law practice, but I'm guessing that it would be borderline malpractice if the father's attorney didn't bring up the temp order upon seeing the news or upon being told she missed the birthday. (And 10 is a big birthday IMO - double digits).
