SILVER ALERT - Los Angeles CountyLast seen: Alta Vista Boulevard and West 2nd Street, Los Angeles
@LAPDHQ
IF SEEN, CALL 9-1-1

Family members, friends and law enforcement officials are continuing their search for a 78-year-old woman with dementia who has been missing for four days and needs medication.

*****
“My mom is 78 years old. She has aphasia, which is a form of dementia that makes language recall difficult,” her daughter, Sharone Goldman, told KTLA. “She might know where she lives, but she might not have the language recall due to the aphasia to communicate it to others.”

*****
Goldman said her mother has not left her home alone in several years and definitely needs assistance.

*****
The volunteer search and rescue organization Hatzolah Los Angeles said Litvin was tracked to a bus stop near Wilshire Boulevard and believes she may be riding Metro buses and trains throughout Los Angeles in an attempt to get home.

Her daughter says she's normally homebound, and her husband takes care of her, but she left her home the morning of April 14 without her phone or wallet.

She was spotted as recently as Saturday in the area of Union Station in Downtown L.A., but she still hasn't returned home.

"I just ask for people to pray, and ask for people to see just Jeannie coming home. If they see her on the street, to say, 'Jeannie Litvin, I know you, Jeannie Litvin.' And try to get her to stay while they call Hatzolah or the police," said Sharone Goldman, Litvin's daughter.

The family is working with the Jewish community rescue group Hatzolah. They're asking anyone who sees Litvin to call Hatzolah at 800-613-1911, or call Los Angeles police.

CA Attorney General:

A $10,000 reward is being offered for her safe return.

Litvin, a longtime writer for the Jewish Press, has not been seen since she left her home, prompting an extensive search effort by local emergency organizations.

Over the weekend, Hatzolah of Los Angeles requested assistance from Chaverim of Rockland, known for their expertise in search and rescue operations, including navigating difficult terrain. Early Monday morning, approximately 30 Chaverim volunteers departed Rockland County at 3:30 a.m., traveling by bus to catch a flight to Los Angeles.

In addition to manpower, the team brought along specialized equipment to aid in the search, including advanced drone systems, CCTV and surveillance equipment, and other sophisticated search-and-rescue technology designed to cover large areas efficiently and assist in locating missing persons.

The team landed at approximately 9:00 a.m. local time and arrived in the search area a short time later, where they are currently assessing the situation and beginning coordinated search efforts on the ground.

I'm always concerned when I see that a MP was located, but no information is given about their condition when they were found.

In this case, I was happy to find the information that she was found alive.
She was found by the volunteer Jewish S&R organization that came from NY to help with the search. She walked over 10 miles the first day. She is now in the hospital, but alive.

In a remarkable development in Los Angeles, Jeanne Rus Litvin — who was reported missing last week — has been found alive and is currently hospitalized at Community Hospital of Huntington Park, nearly an hour’s walk from her home, bringing relief after days of intense concern.

At the request of Hatzolah of Los Angeles, approximately 30 Chaverim Of Rockland volunteers – led by Coordinator Yossi Margareten and Search and Rescue Coordinator Moshe Jacobowitz – flew in from Monsey early Monday morning, launching an around-the-clock search operation that continued nonstop.

Working under difficult and at times unsafe neighborhoods, the volunteers spent 24 hours a day reviewing surveillance footage and tracking her movements. They analyzed camera footage spanning nearly 9 miles, using advanced equipment including drones and specialized search technology.

Authorities tell YWN say Litvin walked an estimated 10 miles on the morning she went missing.
