Savangsy & Dupree are giving conflicting information so far.

Savangsy said she woke up Monday morning and found her 7-year-old daughter, Adalynn, unresponsive.
“I woke up around 7 and she was just stiff cold. And I started crying and I just grabbed her. I was just like, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry,” she said.
Roseville police said the younger child was injured but alive.
Savangsy said she never expected the situation to result in her daughter’s death and said her youngest child remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
“I didn’t expect it to lead to my daughter dying. I promise, I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. My youngest is in the hospital super injured,” she said.
Savangsy described what she said was an abusive relationship with Dupree and blamed him for her daughter’s fatal injuries. She alleged Dupree physically abused both children and her.
“He punched her, he punched them both in the chest and had them stand in the corner. And then I had to do it as well, so technically I did, but I didn’t want to, and if I try to stand up and say no, like this is going too far, he would beat me,” Savangsy said.

Dupree denied those allegations and said he was never abusive to Savangsy or the children.
“I never, I never abused, I never abused those kids,” Dupree said.
Dupree said he was not home the day before the incident. He said when he returned, he went to sleep and was later awakened by Savangsy. He said that was when he noticed injuries on the 7-year-old. He added that he believes the abuse came from Savangsy.
“They didn’t even call her ‘my mom,’ they would call her Jessica and then they would, um, tell me… I want Jessica to leave. I want to stay with you,” Dupree said.

I will never hurt kids,” Dupree said. “I would never hurt a kid.”
Both Savangsy and Dupree said they were living together at the time but were separated. Savangsy said she believes both she and Dupree should be held responsible.
“The best way I can bring justice to my daughters is I do the time and Dupree does the time,” she said.
Dupree again denied harming the children and said he would have contacted police if he had seen signs of abuse.
Both Savangsy and Dupree are expected to be arraigned in court on Wednesday.

Savangsy said she believes both she and Dupree should be held responsible.“The best way I can bring justice to my daughters is I do the time and Dupree does the time,” she said.

Um, what? Not sure what to make of these statements.

The couple was already in legal trouble, having been arrested in early October for conspiracy and theft from several stores at the Roseville Galleria. Savangsy is facing petty theft charges and Dupree is facing a weapons charge.

On another matter, Dupree, a former Citrus Heights police officer, is suing the city for wrongful termination from August 2021, alleging race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, which he claims caused him emotional and financial distress.

Dupree and Savangsy had previously faced conspiracy and grand theft charges in October, but they bailed out, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said. Dupree also had charges of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.

Both cases were combined on Wednesday and the arraignment was continued until Jan. 5.

The two girls found with injuries at the Roseville home were Savangsy’s daughters. The murder and torture charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred from June 1 through Dec. 22, when the girls were found injured, according to the filed criminal complaints. The 7-year-old girl is identified as A.S. in the filed criminal complaint; her little sister is identified as A.S.H.

Injured girls at Roseville home

The injured sisters were found about 7:30 a.m. at the couple’s home in the Fiddyment Farm neighborhood off North Harden Parkway and Holt Parkway. Medics initially were called to the Oahu Court home where an adult resident reported the 7-year-old girl was unresponsive. Officers found the 7-year-old unresponsive in the home’s garage, according to the motion file by state prosecutors. The girl was taken to a hospital where she died. An officer found the girl’s 5-year-old sister under a urine-soaked blanket in an upstairs bedroom. Bell wrote in his filed motion that police reports show the girl’s left eye was swollen shut, and she had “heavy bruising” covering most of the rest of her face. Bell said the girl also was found with “significant scarring” on her body consistent with prior abuse. Police said the 5-year-old was taken to a hospital for treatment, and the girl was listed in stable condition later that night. Two other children, who were Dupree’s daughters, were asleep inside the house and were not injured. Police said the girls were placed in the care of Child Protective Services.
