Johan Huckestein is being reported as a missing juvenile, along with his missing mother and sole parent, Jessica Starcher. Family and friends have not heard from Jessica or Johan in the last three days. Jessica does not own a vehicle and it is believed a friend might have given them a ride out of town to an unknown location. The above picture is Jessica with Johan. Jessica is a 34 year old white female adult, 5’04”, 150lbs., brown hair, hazel eyes, with a date of birth of 02-17-1986. If you see either of them please contact the Lompoc Police Department.

Surely, this friend will provide LE with the location, so they can do a welfare check? Even if they don’t want to be found, LE doesn’t have to give up their location - just check on them and let family/friends know they are ok.

She may have told somebody of her plans. The friend is not necessarily known at this point.

The man she is pictured with in the profile was her fiance. He died in April according to his obituary.

Not much to go on. How did LE found out that a friend gave Jessica & her son a ride? What did the friend say, where were they dropped off, where were they going? Who was going to pick them up? Does Johan attend school?

UPDATE: Lompoc police on Wednesday said Jessica Starcher and her 9-year-old son had been found. Police say the 34-year-old came to the department with her son and said she was unaware they had been reported missing. Police say the two were checked out and are OK.
