As of January 16, 2022, JB is still being reported as missing. According to MSM the car was located in the Tower District area of Fresno sometime in the middle of December (prior to December 16, 2021). From appearance of car (dust, debris, spiderwebs, etc.), it’s assumed the car has been there since the time he was reported missing. JB’s personal effects including wallet, ID and cell phone were located in center console of car, keys to the car were not located.

It bothers me so much when LE does not take a disappearance seriously. The wife is reporting that once the car was found, it was not dusted for fingerprints or anything. I hope he is found soon. Such beautiful little ones awaiting him at home.

The restaurant he went to in Goshen is a burger joint. It gets really good write ups so maybe that's why they went there. From there it would be a straight shot up 99 to Fresno.

The Tower district sounds like a historical area with lots of restaurants, art deco designs and funky places. I've read they get a lot of robberies there, too though.

Did the family live in Fresno? And if they did how far from home was his vehicle found? Do we know what street the car was found on? It's a bit concerning that his personal possessions were locked in the car. Was the vehicle found in a residential or a commercial area?

Tower District is historical and kind of artsy but yes also kind of the “bad” side of town. I think the family does live in Fresno. According to his wife the company he works for is in Dinuba so that would make sense why he was eating in Goshen, it’s not that far from Dinuba.

Also according to his wife, the SIM card was removed from his phone. So everything was there but the SIM card and car keys.

Per the wife, the car was in a 'random neighborhood' in the Tower District. She also stated that it had been there for some time as it was covered in leaves and had webs underneath it (I am assuming around the tires?). I wonder if anyone in that neighborhood has cameras. If they want to see the footage, they would need to act quickly as some people do not buy extra storage space for videos and they erase after so many days.

It is frustrating that Fresno does not seem to be taking this seriously.

The car's location may be random to his wife but perhaps it was not to Joel.

I agree.. Was just stating that it was found in a neighborhood. I have seen around that this area is extremely bad for both drugs and gangs. I searched a crime map and it is a high crime area.

I wonder if there is a possibility that he did not park the car there, but someone else did. I wish police would have dusted for fingerprints.

There are are a couple of scenarios that could explain the removal of the SIM card.

1. JB left the phone in the car with the SIM card in place when he arrived at his destination and someone else used his key to open the vehicle and take the SIM card out.

2. JB left the phone in the car and removed the SIM card himself.

The first scenario suggests some kind of foul play. The second scenario suggests several theories which could result in foul play.

If I wanted a car to be stripped, I'd leave it in Tower. Probably biased since I used to live over there. I did not have a nice time.

honestly most of fresno is high crime. i am not afraid in tower, but i would be afraid in west fresno or close to roeding park at night.

Older case. Wow I agree, what a mess!

Need a person good with court info to check all this:

Noticed that first entry (citation) shows 11/29/21 - 5 days after reported missing.
