I'm not sure about Saudi Arabia either. My brother used to live there on an American compound. My parents in order to go visit him, had to be thoroughly investigated first, and had to obtain permission from the Saudi government in order to go. It was not an easy process. Its hard for me to imagine that a convicted felon, on probation would be able to go there.
The entire Saudi Arabian deal has always been hinky to me. Almost as if it were an excuse to go missing for a week while gambling away all the stolen money.
Are we able to verify that this was legit? Other than a memo line on a check to CM of course? Seriously?

It was something about their names not being on there. I've had a painful experience with this in the past. My son was hospitalized and living in another state. Couldn't communicate with him and wanted to get into his apartment. My name wasn't on the lease so it was a no go. Just awful.

sorry to hear that citygirl :( Could you have tried to get a court order? I have wondered that with this case as well... it's probably not an easy or cheap process though.

I really don’t know if it existed. According to the EIP site, it did. But since Smith investigated and couldn’t find a warehouse, I suspect it didn’t exist. One thing I do know, the warehouse at the listed address is nowhere near 50,000+ sq. ft.
I think it was a boastful description to make it seem like they were bigger outfit than they really were. Like when restaurants or businesses tought "world famous" or "award winning" type thing.

I think he did eventually call them back, Fiske told him they would not arrest him, but IIRC in that interview Chase wasn't sure if they were lying or not, and said he was prepared in case they did arrest him. Maybe that's why he met them at the clubhouse instead of the apartment? So if he was arrested the kids didn't see that?

ETA: actually Fiske and Dugal were at his apartment first... I recall them talking about how clean/not clean it was.
Yes and they met his little one.

But even MSM knew about it... unless they were aiding and abetting Chase in his gambling..

He also didn't want to meet with Dugal and Fiske because he had a warrant.

This is one of those things that I'm not so sure that the defense shouldn't have just embraced and let it be known because it does explain a few things, but because they don't want it out there what the warrant was for I guess... they haven't or don't want to. Although... it has been mentioned, including in his interview, so I guess it's out there for the jury to hear anyway.

He had been putting off his parole officer/racking up warrants for months, if he personally felt threatened by LE locking him up (which it didn't seem he had previous to the 4th, not to mention printing/signing/cashing checks from someone else's account) he could have raised real alarm bells with JM's mom and made sure she called LE, given this was his best friend who just dropped off the radar. I'm just not buying the reasoning, warrant or not.

I'm having a thick moment. What is the 6 you're referring to?
From your post here.

I have from the preliminary hearings -

No. of calls from Chase to Joey after the 4th:

5th - 3
6th - 0
7th - 2 (both at 3.47 pm)
8th - ?
9th - 1 (at 1.07 pm)

No further calls to Joey after 9th.

They do say the total number of calls Chase to Joey after the 4th was 12, so we might assume he called Joey's number 6 times on the 8th (after 1.31 pm because there was no activity on Chase's phone between 7.26 am and 1.31 pm on the 8th), but I haven't seen that number of 6 calls factually stated anywhere.

No clue. Emergency situation kinda thing. Never would have occurred to me. Painful experience. Once our kids reach the age of 18, though they may need us, we are out of the mix, ya know?

He did notify Joey's mom! Who then instructed him to monitor dog bowls!

He did raise alarm bells... it seems that it was the family that was saying they maybe went on vacation. I have a hard time understanding why it was Chase's responsibility alone to call LE? Once he went to the family, IMO he left it in there hands.

There was a TON of information in there, it really is terrible that the days that exhibits would have been extremely helpful to follow the testimony, we didn't have cams :( I have actually mapped out some of his testimony to understand it better haha Like the 'flyers' that they were talking about... and also McGee was talking about a tower they both hit off of I15 that was further away, I was able to find those from the testimony we did have on video to better understand what they were talking about.

I thought yesterday you understood it to mean it was off/airplane/out of range?

He did say that in his direct testimony, and I really think he thought that to be true, and I think the prosecution did as well based on what Boles told them. But after cross examination, he says that he would like to confer with AT&T.
Right. So this is why I'm having trouble with where you're going. I don't see any contradictions to the testimony or data. It appears pretty black and white.

My youngest just turned 18... I understand  Hard to deal with something like that when there are other things going on as well... I don't fault Susan or the family for not continuing to pay for it, just unfortunate that no one (LE) didn't help them out a bit more that way. I'm sure their hands were tied as well.

I've always been mystified about their personal storage units. I remember thinking in the beginning how does one know that their bodies weren't in there? Nobody looked! The family were not able to do anything even after SB paid the storage fee for several months. Just seemed so cruel to me.

IIRC, the pods were with the POD company, and the company auctioned them off. SB paid the back amount due for the rental of the pods and asked for them to be delivered, but it was already too late. The company was moving forward with the auction. I think Susan was able to retrieve some items (photos) from the person who purchased the items in the pods. Although, it’s been so long I can’t be 100% certain about that.

You don't see a contradiction?

By the end of his testimony, he no longer would say that the phone was off/in airplane mode/out of range on the evening of the 4th, he instead said he would like to confer with AT&T. I wonder if he did that.
