Javis says she recalls being in a movie theater on February 4th. But prosecutors says she recalls her dad, Merritt, getting a call he ignored. And that the argument was about the call he didn't take from McStay.

Why are we playing the game of the phone call?

We know Joey made a call but it didn’t register on Chase’s phone so they are obviously lying when they say the phone lit up and Chase ignored it.

So what exactly is this proving other than the entire family are liars?

Javis told detective the argument went on for hours. Javis testifies she doesn't know if the argument was continuous or over hours. Other than the argument Javis recalls it being a normal night.

Javis recalls her dad and McStay were on the phone a couple times a day. Prosecution asks if Javis recalls telling detectives her dad called McStay back but that McStay didn't answer. But she doesn't when exactly Merritt called McStay back.

Prosecution asks Javis what she has read on this case. Javis is a criminal justice major at the moment. Prosecution asks if she read a People magazine article. Javis earlier she testified she had not. She asks for transcript and recalls she did but can't recall content of article

Javis told investigators her dad gambled at the casino. He was a good poker player. He went to the casino sometimes to gamble to make money for car payments. Her parents argued about money because he would put a lot of money back in the business not over gambling

Prosecutor asking how much Javis prepared to testify. She said a few hours. During preparation she listened to audio. She has sat thru some of the testimony and her dad has filled her in during her visits to him.

yep, alot like Merritt's sister...and it's so obvious

What? Related to Merritt, so they are unable to tell the truth? You have based your opinion on a few tweets and haven't even "heard" her yet.

Isn't this exactly what confirmation bias is?

LOL! Her dad "filled her in" during their visits? Good grief. Not a good witness at all.

So Chase using his children to back up his alibi - how classy :D

I see so many murder trials where the accused has their children try to save their sorry arses. I detest it every time I see them do it.

It makes me detest this one too even more than I already do. Gah.
