Do I dare google Giggles and hugs?

It's not naughty. I thought it would be, but it's quite innocent, other than possibly how it comes to be mentioned on this case.

Who is Cathy (or Kathy?) Sanchez?

sorry, should have explained... Maline was going through some transactions that were done on the bank account that she opened in March 2010, which I believe was done to do EIP business, or that was the intention.

Some of the debit card purchases were made at a place called Giggles and Hugs. I had no clue what it was lol Mikey is the only other person who had access to that account and Susan said she never activated the debit card.

Giggles & Hugs is a kid's party place.

Wow ... so Chase continued to get another $15900.00 from Joey's Mom. This in addition to the previous amounts she already testified to.

I'm posting 2 that specifically have "anger" in the product name. All homeopathic.
During the testimony of McG he talked about an extremely bad argument with Summer when he cancelled on coming over to paint. Could that have any connection to the search for "Anger"?

There was a painter who bailed and supposedly was based in Las Vegas. That was thought to be why McGargar was asked to paint, because the original painter disappeared.
He wasn't based in Vegas but broke down outside of Barstow on his way back from Vegas. His name was Carlos.

It seems a few things that were reported and talked about in the early days have been "locked away" and never talked about since CM was identified as a suspect.
The painter was located and questioned. If there was a conspiracy, wouldn't the defense also be in on it as well? They have what the prosecution has.

I don't know if that was in addition to the 5K.

The only problem I have with this is ... how in the world does anyone think these fountains were being made? Things had to be bought to make them, time was spent making them, was Chase or anyone supposed to do those for free? I don't know that the amounts line up with the cost of the fountains and neither did Susan or does she now. I don't fault Susan for this one bit, she was doing what she was doing to just try to salvage what she could. I am also not sure where MSM comes in here... did they also receive payment? and from who? Dan or Susan? If the money coming into the bank account was 36K like was indicated by Maline... 15, almost 16K was not much when looking at the costs of making these fountains. JMO

One question for anyone that knows... what is with the $3300 cheque? Did it get returned as NSF? or? I missed this in earlier testimony I think ...

ETA: I also don't fault Susan for not remembering what was what back then... first off, it was 9 years ago, second, the amount of stress she was under. JMO

Yes, it was additional money given to Chase. I will be looking forward to seeing all of the receipts provided by Chase, for legitimate business expenses. And also how many fountains he actually completed and delivered to customers.

Most of the EIP orders weren't "custom" and were drop/shipped by the manufacturer.

Thanks. So the painter was not a Mexican?

Around 49:00 mark of Part 1 video, Maline asks SB if she recalls telling Cathy/Kathy Sanchez at that time (around Feb. 16, 2010) she didn't believe the family was coming back, also telling Sanchez she (SB) was going to wash the futon covers. Who was Cathy/Kathy Sanchez?

On redirect, Susan says this happened much later than Feb 16th... the lunch I mean.

I do not know who Sanchez is though. Maybe a friend?

I'm guessing they might call her as a witness. JMO

I thought he was referring to the 9:32 p.m. call - didn't he say something about 'there's nothing out there, (something about Ventura) and why would he be calling from there'?

I know that he mentions Van Buren Blvd near the 15 and 60 fwys and how there is "nothing out there". But I don't recall him ever mentioning Ventura. In fact Ventura is probably 2 - 3 hours in the other direction.

MOO

Well, he might not have been in Ventura. I thought that there were a couple of towers he pinged at that time. But I think I get what you are saying. If he'd been home, and in the club house, why at 9:32 would he ping a tower that distance from his home?

He may have been headed to gamble at that time. Those towers were in a place where investigators speculated Chase was returning from murdering the McStays, but he could also have been headed to the casino near Temecula.
Ventura is three hours away. The comment may be about where Susan lived.
