Important testimony out of the #McStay trial today. Defense PayPal witness on the stand. Defense alternate suspect Dan Kavanaugh used PayPal debit card in HAWAII Jan. 7 to Feb 27, 2010 showing his alibi. Defense asked if he could have given card to another.

And Dan just got lucky that a ‘fraudulent’ charge on his credit card happens to confirm his alibi and whereabouts. Of all places in the world, a fraudulent charge appears in Hawaii!?’ What a stroke of luck for Dan and poor Chase struck out again!

Seriously, I guess their point was that JM and DK shared a PayPal account, so it wouldn’t be strange for JM to set one up with CM? I don’t think that point would be worth making at the expense of setting up DK with an alibi. Maybe they figure that the jury has forgotten the defense’s opening statement?

And then I want to know who brought that out... was it the defense? was it the prosecution? We have been bitten by tweets before so I'm not making too many comments until I hear it lol

I once saw a transaction on my credit card that showed a taxi fare paid in a city that I had never been to on a day I knew I didn't take taxi. Should that person committed a crime that day in that city, I could have become a suspect. And conversely, if I had been a criminal committing a crime where I was, I could have used that credit card statement to show my "alibi".

I'm not sure what the DT want to prove about DK being in Hawaii or not? LE already knew DK had an alibi from their investigations.
