So what is on the schedule today?

Was the Microsoft and Google hearing vacated?

BBM.
I don't see how that's going to go anywhere, both corporations honor their privacy measures for their customers (to say nothing of "proprietary" stuff) and I can't remember a case where either were successfully forced to cooperate. I *may* be wrong. My brother was with them (MS) actually creating black box algos and apps for 9 years and he's never heard of it happening. JMO.

In my opinion she's referring to the media and/or law enforcement. I'm curious to know who you think she's referring to.

Obviously, she was not referring to the media or LE, because she stated she was concerned for her safety because of those people.

In this testimony, around 29:30-30:05, the neighbor said: "People were contacting me," "Our streets were flooded with people; they wanted information." She used plural, so makes one wonder. The pros alleges CM alone was involved in the crime. So who were those people? Wish some surveillance camera and phone recorders caught those people's faces and voices.

I have trouble bolding on my phone, so I’ll just quote.

“The pros alleges CM alone was involved in the crime. So who were those people.”

Well, nothing in your post even hints at more than one person being involved. A family of four had disappeared—the neighborhood was ‘flooded’ with reporters, amateur reporters, and 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Trying to suggest that any strangers in the neighborhood must have helped to perpetrate the crime is—baffling to me.

She and I were referring to the people who were contacting her for the surveillance footage. That's hardly "any strangers".

She says: “our street was flooded with people who wanted ... information.” That sounds to me like my ‘reporters, amateur reporters and 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.” She adds that she’s s very private person.

Defense Witnesses Week of April 15, 2019

I have checked and all I can tell you is for this week and I can't even be sure of that, but this is what I know to be scheduled.

They will be putting on a computer expert and then an accountant and a supervisor from Quickbooks.

Thanks for the update. I wonder what the QB's supervisor will be there for?

Again, around 29:30-30:05:

Melissa Rodriguez: "Have you been contacted by the detective..... DuGal... after that about using your video?"
Mitchley: "I think I contacted them because, people were contacting me, and I didn't like it. So I called back... So what do I do? [Note by me: Watch her expression here]
Rodriguez: "What were you concerned about?"
Mitchley: "My safety. And I'm a very private person, and...our street was flooded with people. They wanted information."

Wonder who those people that went out of their way to contact her were. These were not your average curious strangers. It's not the media or LE, with whom she had no reason to fear for her safety against. And yet those people were expressing an unusually keen interest in what knowledge the neighbor or her camera footage could provide. They seemed to be eager to get the footage. They were contacting her, rather than through LE.

Sounds more like some people who are highly concerned about what the contents of the surveillance footage could reveal to the LE, than an average curious stranger, or media, or LE.

And, back to what I said in bringing up this video: she used plural form. Multiple people were involved in the crime and its cover up.

I still think she's referring to the media and possibly family/friends. I think her fear came in because a family of four is missing and nobody knows why. Also, she may not have known who all the people were who were "flooding her street" so that may have caused concern as well. She couldn't identify who the good guys were versus who might be there because they were involved in the family's disappearance.

I think she's referring to the media - if they identified her as the owner of the video surveillance system she might feel she would become a target of whoever might have perpetrated a crime against the missing family.

Also wasn't it said somewhere that she was trying to not have her address revealed for personal reasons?

So does that mean live streaming will be ready to go for Wednesday?

That's what Kit said yesterday so I presume so. Fingers crossed.

Under the circumstances I wouldn't want my identity or address known either. I think the guy on the motorcycle who found the remains was extremely wise in keeping his identity a secret.

Very good points. I definitely remember hearing that she had personal reasons for privacy and security—but have no idea what. It was something posted on WS, too.

I am 95% certain it had something to do with an abusive ex.

It would definitely have been better if no one except for the LE could find out her contact info. Those mysterious people that reached out to her for information would not be able to do so.

Doubt it's the ex that contacted her about the surveillance footage of the missing family. Doubt her fear under that circumstance was fear against an ex.

Important testimony out of the #McStay trial today. Defense PayPal witness on the stand. Defense alternate suspect Dan Kavanaugh used PayPal debit card in HAWAII Jan. 7 to Feb 27, 2010 showing his alibi. Defense asked if he could have given card to another.

I once saw a transaction on my credit card that showed a taxi fare paid in a city that I had never been to on a day I knew I didn't take taxi. Should that person committed a crime that day in that city, I could have become a suspect. And conversely, if I had been a criminal committing a crime where I was, I could have used that credit card statement to show my "alibi".

Different dates....perhaps DK’s online itinerary was wrong.

Snip

Kavanaugh said he was in Oahu, Hawaii on a surfing trip at the time the family went missing.

"I was in Hawaii. You guys know that, right?" said Kavanaugh as he stood in the threshold of his apartment.

In a subsequent telephone interview, Kavanaugh looked up his online itinerary from the surfing vacation, and claimed he was in Oahu from Jan. 4, 2010 to Feb. 17, 2010, when he returned to San Diego.

"I have a hundred witnesses that saw me there (in Oahu) and can attest that I was there the whole time," said Kavanaugh.

Well, that wasn't a surprise, anything else the defense witness said to back up the prosecution?

Regarding Joseph McStay's PayPal acct: JM added Dan Kavanaugh as a 3rd party user on 10-10-2007 and from 2002 to 2010 there were 505 transactions between the two. #mcstay
