Last shut down was on Feb 8th 3:55am and according to La Rock, it was a user that physically shut it down.

a few things I could see the defense saying based on previous testimony and questions...
first that Mike didn't take the emachine but the laptop that is "missing", or both and only returned the emachine. Second, that Dan was there on Feb 8th... going back to the bullet points in OS's, apparently Dan told his ex that he went to the home and pretended to be Joey at some point. <<< these are JMO and total speculation based on what I know and what was asked throughout other testimony.
But isn't or wasn't the suggestion from some here that Mike could have had something to do with the backdating of the eMachine?

BBM...because it doesn't matter in the scheme of things? What is the significance that Joseph may have used google drive or google sketchup or possibly have shared that link with Merritt? Joseph obviously didn't use anything after 2/4/2010 anyway. LOL

The significance is that he was working with Merritt, he made it so they could both update the document as things were done or whatever, it was a ledger of projects with what Chase was being paid, etc. Some may not see the significance, but I do. JMO

How do you figure that?

If I understand correctly.... La Rock got a forensic image of the hard drives, he is the one that extracted and found all this stuff. What in this testimony tells you that LE 'investigated Dan' because these folders from the forensic image that was given to him are included in La Rock's testimony? Do we even know that LE found that folder?

Adding to this... the Google docs link that La Rock found, what I understood was there were spreadsheets that stopped around mid January 2009, which he decided to "search" the document name, which was jobs-joseph2009 (I think), when he did that search he found in the internet history that there was a google drive doc with that same name and it was public. This does not sound like something that LE found, it's something he found. And if LE did find it, why do you think we are just hearing about it now?
Well it could be Joeseph's and Dan's messaging where he 'threatened' Joseph. But it also could be Dan's social media messaging, which only LE would have access to.

Could be, I don't believe I was one of them. That's not what I'm posting about though, I was posting where I think the defense is going with it based on prior testimony and questions. RE: missing laptop and what Dan apparently said to his ex.

It could be. But there is nothing in this testimony that tells me that LE investigated Dan. This is La Rock's work IMO

So I don't think his answer about IP addresses was complete. I've read that static IP addresses can be purchased, desktops remotely accessed etc. But I'm no expert. Apparently Dan was an expert.

this is painful to watch haha

Just an update for those that may not be able to watch... defense is trying to get the IP's in... prosecution really really really doesn't want that, lots of objections... judge asking lots of questions to try to understand, they have just approached for a side bar.

and now La Rock is still answering questions from judge...

  • #351
judge is really having a hard time deciding whether to let La Rock testify about this ...

  • #352
objection as to foundation is over ruled... he is going to let La Rock testify to the IP addresses.

After the side bar Imes was smiling and McGee looked deflated. My guess is the DT is not happy with the judge's probing. I will say that the witness is good and keeps emphasizing consistency.

I wonder if Dan is watching this.

So how does the State explain this? Do they try to attack the IP addy's?

I mean... I know what I have been able to find when it comes to IP addresses, it's not all that hard.

So is this to refute the transactions that were done in Hawaii, like the transactions at FoodLand on King Kamehameha Hwy?

Photo's found on the HP media center... one dated October 28th, Joey sitting with the laptop on the couch. One from January 15, 2010 of Summer in the kitchen on a laptop.

He does not believe this is the same laptop that would be labelled as Device 3, the Dell inspiron that was thought to be by Schroeder because the last usage date was October 25th.

Using photo's from same camera to show that the camera's date was set proper.

Another laptop too... Josepe-Lap ... tried accessing the emachine and McAfee logged this... January 22, 25, 26th, 28th, 31st Feb 3rd ... on the 3rd, 2 computers in the home "talking" to each other.

Omg I never want this guy to look at my computers LOL
