So an IP address is an unreliable indicator of location but making a call to a distant area code means you're located within the area code you're calling? <modsnipped unnecessary comment> Of course neither of these are a reliable indicator of location especially if someone is intentionally manipulating the results.The IP addresses are something that someone desperate for a straw to cling to might use as a ‘reason to believe he wasn’t there.’
I looked up my IP address in Google some years ago, and saw that it said I was on the East Coast, (USA), when in fact I was on the West Coast. That’s why I don’t believe it.
