I've followed many cases over the years and I cant recall anyone being vilified like Summer was for years on end.

It was abnormally aggressive imo.

This was the first case I ever followed so I will take your word for it.

Part of me wishes I had never stumbled across the case as it’s ended so horrifically.

Yes, this is one case that I found extremely heartbreaking when they found the bodies :( I have followed other cases, but this one, was and is just different. I would come here to read, but didn't post a whole lot here about it, always felt 'behind' when I didn't check for a few months.

Can someone fill me in on why the full day isn't uploaded? There's this:

but that has a ton of reporter's interruptions. Anyone have a link with just the court like its been everyday?

So I may have misheard but I thought he said his impression was that Dan more or less lived in Hawaii.

I didn't hear that, but am hoping to listen to it again tonight when it gets uploaded. My husband came home and insisted on talking to me pfft

Wish we got transcripts, I have asked before, but does anyone know if we can get them? or how we could get them?

If this is the right place... that could get costly after a few months.. lol

Regarding Joey being dizzy. This is true and he talked to Susan Blake about it, she waz concerned. When they all went missing, Susan and I did talk about perhaps some foul play was causing Joey's sickness. But it was just one of dozens of theories being banded about. Everything was on the table, as you might imagine.

I tend to agree with you about the stress of having Chase employed as part of the reasons Joey was having dizzy spells. They may well have been panic attacks, due to stress. Imo

What????

What people thought Summer was poisoning Joey? Were they saying this after they had been murdered?

The man was probably a nervous wreck having to deal with someone like CM.

He makes me nauseated just thinking about him. I cant imagine how he made Joey feel. Emotional turmoil can make someone physically ill.

Imo

The judge said the court transcriber won't be transcribing the interview recording because of the transcript that's been provided to the jurors.

This is how I remember this. It wasn't just Merritt saying it. I think Mike talked about it as well. And that was pretty early on after they disappeared. Everyone was looking for answers. IIRC the Mexico border video... it was believed maybe it was Summer and the kids, but no one ever believed it was Joey in the video, it all just added to the mystery.

YouTube has a transcript you can copy and paste. It's not perfect, but it's a starting point. You have to access it from a desktop. It's basically like reading close captions.

He boast he was getting 65 percent and Joey only got 35 percent of the profits yet he has to steal to get by?

I think he should have worried more about fixing his own money problems rather than whining about Summer's spending habits that was none of his business in the first place.

He doesnt miss a chance to disparage the woman he murdered. How vile.

He is worthless human waste imo.
He got 65 percent of the total price, and he was supposed to buy all the materials and pay MSM to do the stainless steel work. Whatever was left over was his profit. Apparently he spent the money he was supposed to be using to pay MSM and Joey had to pay them since they had already done the work. It seems the arrangement didn't work out so at some point he just had to pay MSM directly

so was this over being fired? seems like it was thought out ..planned pretty good in advance.

but the money he took is so random, the amounts. the one for what? 400.00? was this to make it look innocent like actual expenses?

I think he wanted the Saudi job and had no plans of handing over the 30 k he owed to joey.
also he knew the jig was up and he wouldnt have a chance at the saudi job if joey canned him.

did you guys ever look at the EIP website? omigod, it was flinstones, literally. I have no idea how he could possibly owe all that money to DK..you could build that site on go daddy for 4.oo a month and it would look better.

honestly I was shocked that this website could have any value.

for this reason something seems fishy about the website side of the biz...is

it beside the point? maybe it's irrelevant or could there be more to this story and DK's real stake in this?

Joey was an asthmatic, and he also suffered from severe migraines, which would leave him bed-bound at times. And, during the few months before his death, he had experienced bouts of vertigo and panic attacks. There is no doubt that the stress he was under, coming at him from all directions, brought these conditions to a head.

Apparently Joey was very non-confrontational, but there he was, faced with an awful situation, namely Chase, that he had no choice but to counter head on. No wonder that poor man was ill.

OH MY!!!!!! I think I love you!!! Just tried it on one of the video's and it works! Not perfect... but wow! Can't believe I didn't know that existed!

Edited to fix quote

Upon first listen to Chases interview he seems pretty normal and likeable, just like an average blue collar guy. But if you listen carefully you will notice how clearly he recalls all the little anecdotes about hanging out with Joey, moving them in, Spats with Summer etc. He is comfortable talking about all that stuff and he constantly tries to steer the conversation into talking about that stuff. When they are asking him about the week after he is less sure of dates, how many times he called Joey, when he was at the house, etc. He has to think and pause a lot. Most of his answers that he does give seem rehearsed. He doesn't do so well when he isn't in control of the direction of the interview
