I agree with this which is why it was really noticeable how agitated he got towards the end there. Something rattled his cage and it was interesting to watch him finally lose it.

I didn't find him that animated, but I wish we got more views of him, or views of him and the court room. We have no idea how he is reacting to other things, we only see what they want us to see and we are not getting reporting that tells us his demeanour. Unfortunately, they can't show us everything and everyone.

I think we will now by the defense questioning what got their panties in a knot.

I guess that’s why they have 12 jury members as everybody interprets things differently including us on here :D

Imo the jury is watching him throughout like a hawk.

He better be careful because they could sense he knows what he did to the victims and is upset that something isnt being told correctly by the witness.

It could be the slightest variation of what happend but he is so narcissistic it would set him off.

If innocent why should he care what's said about what was found?

I wonder if they ever show photos of things like the fabrics and the red strap and the sledgehammer to family or associates of the victims or the defendant to see if they can identify them.

You were correct missy1974 about the bleached area on the sweatpants being the central area going down the leg.

They're saying it could be urine stains.

Sounds as if Mr Merritt could have been advising his attorneys.

so they are focusing on the "bleach" stains... this is what they were "animated" about.

He is asking her if she knows if they were tested and what the results were.

He is implying it is urine that broke down to ammonia...

I'm going to take a guess here... he knows the results and she doesn't, and she said it "looks like bleach" and the defense is pissy about it.

One thing I was personally surprised about is how small the sledgehammer was. I guess I was expecting a longer handle as for somebody’s Joey size that’s why I am guessing he was beaten first as I can’t imagine him being able to sneak attack him with something that small.

Summer and the kids yes but Joey wasn’t small by any stretch.

No bleach vs Urine/Ammonia stains are what the defense is trying to paint that the crime did NOT happen in the home, as the Pros assumes, IMO.

Whoa.......... "possible" bleach on the sweat pants, DF does NOT want that!

Yes coz if it’s bleach it ties the killings to the home so they can’t have that.

Upset CM because he knew it wasn't bleach? Makes it worse that she was so frightened that she wet herself. Why argue except showing testing wasn't thorough?

Uggh, I'm already thinking my google history is going to show 'can urine cause bleach stains'

They did say it has been tested, so I'm sure we will hear about it some more at some point.

If I was on the jury I'd think he pointed it out to his lawyers because he knew what it was, not because of the lab tests but because he was there.

I think the defense point was, she said that it looked like bleach when she has no knowledge of whether or not it was actually bleach, it was said that it was tested but she does not know what the results of that testing was. She did agree that it could be from urine turning to ammonia. (I have no idea if this can happen... I have no idea what the test results show, but the defense does, I assume)

Would urine bleach the carpet as well? What room were the bleach stains in?

I actually own a similar sledgehammer, a 3 lb one. Looks very similar to the "Stanley" one in this case. Short handle and a single head swing/blow could easily kill someone, easily. The handle is short with a VERY hard plastic handle with a steel "hammer" on the end. Easy to swing and impact, sorry for being graphic, but it's the truth.

#McStay - Bachman testifies Joseph McStay's remains were wrapped in this woven fabric and a white extension cord was tied around where his neck would have been.
