Yikes. They might not even be able to prove fraud? How do they hope to prove a murder based in large part on the fraud. Not much left except cell phone dead time and spotty dna in the trooper in which Chase admitted being in. Starting to look like the entire prosecution case calls for speculation and lacks foundation.

We are 1/4th into the trial. SBSO did a search warrant on the home as a Homicide Case. We haven't yet heard about those results, which they claim to have evidence it did in fact occur in the home. Stay tuned . . .

And the little baby towel. Pictures of little J wrapped in it.

Just seeing this post bring tears to my eyes.

How in the world is any human being capable of looking into these beautiful little eyes and then crushing their skulls in???

It takes a special type of murderer to do this to terrified defenseless little children.

I have always said the weapon CM chose reveals so much about who he really is behind his mask of deception. And these little boys weren't even his family members.

I will always believe he restrained Joey, and Summer, and made them both watch as he destroyed their sons, one by one.

It truly is one of the most sadistic, and heinous murders I've followed.

This type of destruction done here isn't often done even by a father who kills his own children.

CM had a lot of rage, and hatred behind every swing of the sledgehammer he swung against all four of his helpless victims.

If convicted, I have no doubt CM will be sentenced to death.

Imo

Often wondered about those shoes. Hypothetically, if you typically do not have shoes on and you received a phone call about an emergency, would you put your shoes on, or run out to your car as fast as you could. I would tend to think that car keys, purse, phone are the minimum for a dash out the door. Not sure about the shoes.

What kind of emergency though? That might be the case, but I also think that given where they lived, Summer and Joey probably had a number of pairs of shoes that could be put on quickly. It might be that whatever got them out the door, would have involved going someplace where uggs and flip flops werent' really what they wanted on their feet. With the children, yes, I can see not necessarily putting shoes on them, if they figured they would be home soon and would not be exposing them to the outdoors for long.

You have Contact and Custom all confused.

Really?

this is what I was going off of:

A=Hanke:
Q. Okay. With regard to the Custom account, were any checks
from, you said it was opened in January of 2008, from January of
2008 until February 1st, 2010, were any checks listed on
QuickBooks or written from QuickBooks on the Custom side of the
account?
A. On the Custom side, no.
Q. So, all the checks during that time period were listed on
the other account?
A. On the Contact account, yes.

isn't that^^ what I said? All of the checks had been written from the Contact account, until feb 1st, when CM created the chase merritt vendor on the Custom account.

ETA: I used the words wrong in one sentence---FIXED it now, thx

Two toddlers, a healthy food easy to prepare and a diversion, popcorn is a 24/7 food when you have young children.
Disagree. Not in the morning.

Disagree. Not in the morning.

We simply don't know. I love popcorn. I eat it all times of the day and night. Others might not. Probably family would have an idea. Or close friends.

What evidence is there that this occurred this way? Where is the neighbor who saw someone entering and leaving the home? Where is the evidence of someone staging any of this. For all we know Joseph drove the Trooper to the border and the family was abducted from someplace in that shopping mall.
What neighbor? Who saw them entering and leaving?

Thus we need folks like JM to put up the most vigorous defense.

Right. So this was something new they were doing. This actually supports Chase's version of what he claims happened.

No shoes in the graves. We don't know what the family was wearing when they left the home.
Oh c'mon! You are tough. No disrespect intended. You are killing me.

Honey nut cheerios? Yes. Popcorn? No

So this jury is going have to accept that Summer gave her boys popcorn for breakfast and Joey gave a shady con artist with a criminal history and a gambling addiction, the passcodes to his financial accounts, and told him to write himself checks and sign Joey's name.

Why bury the pictures? Unless there was blood/material on them? I believe the children were last to die and that absolutely breaks my heart. CM referred to them as "screaming kids" in one interview. To me, he hated SM and the kids.

We don't know. Why not? Also remember, kids that age are up at the crack of dawn. By 7 or 8 in the morning those kids may have been up for hours, had breakfast first thing, this is their mid-morning snack. Don't know.

Sure. Why not? Maybe the jury is comprised of critical thinkers looking hard at the evidence, who have an understanding of how important expertise is.

Right. Well if you are ever at my home for breakfast, I promise no popcorn. But that's YOU, we don't know what the McStays liked. They had to have liked popcorn at sometime. It was there.
