Summer does not seem like the type of mom who would let kids eat stale popcornMy kids LOVE Popcorn and would ask/eat it anytime of the day or night.

Aww, Citygirl, thanks so much for the nice compliment. That also applies to you as well.
I admit i am enjoying JMarsh taking the defense side.
Now he/she seems to have a comeback answer for everything. LOL! That's quite interesting in itself. Ha
Seriously, I enjoy posting with everyone on this case.
May justice prevail.

Can you show me in testimony or in the OS's where they say that DK did this?

I'm 90% he is guilty.
Overwhelmed is an understatementThat's an interesting theory. It is possible that the family was overwhelmed and maybe wasn't tidying up as regularly as they might normally do.
Talk to JMarsh. They will have you believing in no time he is 90 percent innocent. Just kidding and being silly.
Well I am going to leave it in the hands of all of you good people for tonight.
Enjoyed the discussion like always.
Good night everyone!
Take care.

Ok... that made me really laugh out loud hahahaWhy? Because I don't eat honey nut cheerios for breakfast?
The odd thing to me is the family didnt seem close to their parents and relatives. It seems that none had even seen the new houseWe don't know. I would agree, but maybe if she was tired enough...
One thing I wish LE had done is to sit down with the mother, way back in 2010, and really picked her brain for all the habits of the family. They had been living with her just before they moved. The mother would know when and on what terms they ate popcorn. I wish in depth victimology was more a part of these cases.

I have had a terrible day... got a call this morning, my youngest was in a car accident... he is fine (gonna be sore), but he called crying (my big manly 18yr old baby lol) and my nerves are just now starting to calm down... 8 hours later lol So after a terrible day and trying to catch up here, this made me laugh, so thank you!
I sure hope the accusations that someone is working for the defense team just because their view is different isn't going to be the norm, JMO and all... but I don't want this forum to get shut down because of it.

No way popcorn for breakfast. Think about it
I am unsure of what this meant in the charges and I'm not going looking right now... a special-circumstance allegation charging that the teen committed murder during the course of a residential burglary...
But my point is they did not JUST charge him with murder because he murdered someone and the rest was irrelevant, ocean indicated that he was only charged with murder. That isn't true.
What am I supposed to be thinking about? How is it different from any other cereal?
(I think that the crime happened in the evening, but I don’t see the popcorn as evidence of anything in particular.)
I've been racking my brain to imagine what would convince Joey and Summer to grab the brood, get into the Trooper in such a hurry (if that's what they did). What possibly could someone tell them that would get them out of the house that way?
And who would they care enough about to have done this for?
Again, not saying this is what occurred, but if it did occur this way, it's hard to think of what false pretense could have gotten them all to go somewhere-whether it was morning or night.
Thoughts?
Is it possible that the key to this is: that the computer and the neighbor’s camera were using two different clocks, and one wasn’t set to the right time?
Best post of the nightThis something new 'they' were doing? lmao
Really? 'They' were doing this new accounting thing? The thing where someone writes himself a check, backdates to the last date his boss was seen alive, deletes it, then cashes it so he can go gambling?
I hardly think it supports Chase's version of events. He had NO EXPLANATION for why he backdated and deleted.
If this is as you say, a 'new thing' that his boss requested, wouldn't Chase say so and have a reason for the big new change?
Here is testimony from Detective Daniel Hanke at the Preliminary Hearing.
Q Did you show him the checks that were created on February
5th and backdated to February 4th?
A Yes, I did.
Q Did he tell you he wrote those checks?
A I don’t believe he said he — I believe he said Joseph
wrote the checks.
Q Did he identify the typewritten entries and say: Those
were typewritten, he wouldn’t have done that?
A That’s correct.
Q Did you confront him with the fact that those checks that
were dated February 4th to himself and to Metro Sheet Metal were
backdated?
A Yes, I did.
Q Did you ask him why in the world they would be backdated
to the date this family went missing?
A Yes.
Q Did he deny backdating any of those checks?
A He did not deny.
Q Did he have an explanation as to why he would back-date
those checks?
A He did not offer any explanations
I have considered that they met Chase half way... remember Chase said that Joey had some drawings with electrical plugs that he had left home that day, it was what one of the afternoon calls was about (according to Chase)... He also said in his first interview that they sometimes met half way ... so maybe they met half way so Joey could give Chase these drawings or whatever they were and he took Summer and the kids with.
I was wondering if the clock time on the computer was the right time?
