That's the way it's worded lol

I noticed on all the exhibits the dna is either “assumed or possible sources.” Is this standard wording for dna results? No definite confirmation of results?

It's different from what I have seen in other cases...

The DNA expert can only testify to what he did/found, IMO.

I dont think they ever give definitive results. They just give the numbers.

I didn't ask for nor do I expect a pic of CM in the trooper.

All I am saying is CM's answer sounded formulated/manufactured TO ME when asked if he had ever been in the Trooper (aka little white hatchback car). That's it.

Here's another thought along this line. If Chase lied about being a passenger in the Trooper, how would this have helped him?

If Chase wanted to explain his DNA on the steering wheel, wouldn't a lie about having driven the Trooper be more effective?

Who would there be to contradict him?

It wouldn't, IMO. He places himself inside the Trooper, yet his DNA is found on several different areas of the Trooper.

Steering wheel swabs.

at least 3 individuals.
JM major
SM trace
Minor contributor, Merritt included as a potential.

1 in 4.3 billion African Americans, 1 in 850 million Caucasions, 1 in 10 million hispanics

I thought you had said earlier they did one swab for all areas?

This is just from the swab taken of the steering wheel alone, right, or am I missing something? Lol

What they give is a number representing that the probability that the DNA profile belongs to anyone other than "such and such a person" is 1 in...whatever the number is.

Right. The steering wheel was 1 swab.

All the other area's were a collective swab... 2 swabs, but those were used to swab all areas.

We have already heard testimony weeks ago about it being collected :) I will include photo's of the swab packaging, might help make sense of it :)

Chase is a MINOR contributor to DNA on the steering wheel. His DNA is found in trace amounts on the other areas-and because there were swabs that covered more than one area, we don't know specifically where that other DNA was located. Only generally.

we are back to blah blah blah testimony LOL Guessing the defense is getting Jones to testify to what they are going to bring up in their own case, to help support it.

Trace or NOT, HIS DNA IS found on those items.

I think what the jury will take notice of is he emphatically said he only had ever been on the passenger side six weeks prior to them going missing, yet the places where his DNA is found is counter opposing to that statement.

Where it is being found is more like he was a driver, than a passenger.

Imo

Of course. But DNA can get onto objects in many different ways.

I *believe* the Defense is trying for "unknown" persons DNA being found in the graves. However, so far, the Pros expert testified NOTHING of any DNA has been found in the graves, so far.
