She would only see notes if the local branch passed those on. (testimony)

Ok thanks! So there is a chance we might see someone later? I still haven't been able to listen to it all... hoping L&C uploads quickly tonight ;-)

CM is thinking..."Dang, I wasted a lot of money!!"

I don't need a forensic accountant to tell me I do the same... my hubby reminds me all the time LOL

Did I hear her (Prosecutor) correctly on direct that CM had a ATM withdrawal from a location in Mexico at the end of January?

Yes. January, but not sure if it was same year.

He did tell Dugal/Fiske in his interview he had been there once ...

But he's a liar ;-)

No one seems to comment on the female prosecutor. I like how she examines the witnesses. Seems to be clear and concise. I never have any trouble following her. Not sure she ever does cross examination?

This chart shows the combined balances of Merritt's bank accounts between Jan 2009 and May 2010 - look at the spike for Feb 2010 :D

Comparing Joey’s 2009 ledger with Merritt’s 2009 bank account in the chart, I wonder how much Merritt was paid that year? There is a difference in payment methods between the 2007 & 2008 ledgers vs the 2009. The 2009 ledger shows amounts for Chase but his payments from Joey didn’t start until Oct. 2009. Ledgers for 2007 and 2008 show payments to Merritt throughout the year.

They haven't had any witnesses to cross yet.

Poor JM, if in fact he was going to allow CM access to the financial end of EIP.

CM's financials were one big hot mess. Unfreakinbelievable!

For an overview of this evidence it seems to be showing that Chase was not very well off, seemed to live in overdraft for most of the time in 2009. He incurred $200 worth of ATM fees over the period for checking his balance, which is 100 x $2 fee.
I think his shaky money situation, was due to not knowing how to handle money intelligently, rather than being "not very well off." Heck, JM paid him something like $173,000!! That's an enormous amount of money to have, for not having anything at all to show for it. What. A. STUPE.

I like her questions... I like how she doesn't uhmmm hmmm ahhh LOL But I don't like her voice  ( i was listening earlier today with one headphone in my ear, probably made it more annoying LOL)

Maline... he always sounds like an angry little elf to me LOL his voice is as annoying though, to me

Daugherty... he always sounds half asleep to me and/or bored.

McGee... I like him, I think he's smart, but sometimes I wish he would just spit the question out... think I would have loved to see him as a prosecutor!

The judge... he mumbles, unless he's ticked off LOL

That's my take! ;-)

IMHO, the prosecution is "closing the coffin" on Merritt one nail at a time...with cell phone records, Quickbooks records & forgeries, DNA in the trooper, and bank records. The big picture isn't difficult to see. And they aren't done yet.

I mean for rebuttal.
Sorry, rebuttal of ? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, do you mean re-direct? Perhaps it's different terms we're used to.

What I mean is I don't remember seeing any posts pointing out that Dan paid Chase $5000 in Feb 2010. I do remember you posting about seeing Blockbuster video purchases though.

Tortoise, I think this is what you’re talking about.

Hypothetically speaking, what if the CFA meeting was an intervention of sorts? Might explain the flurry of calls between CM and CJ that day? Might further explain why JM continued to call CM although his internet activity showed continued use at a time where most of us wonder if they were even together let alone that a meeting occurred? Does anyone have quick access to the checks written to CJ from the Paypal account?
We know JM covered CJ and the kids while CM was in jail. Perhaps an intervention type meeting was when the tide turned and there was no turning back for CM from that point? Might this have been the catalyst that set wheels in motion?
Edited to further add that the checks from JM to CM became significantly lower during the few months leading up to the murders. What if JM and CJ had an agreement that no monies would be forthcoming given the circumstances and CM blaming his financial needs on wife and kids. I can envision JM agreeing to help
CJ with financial support needs while insisting CM seek help for gambling addiction and issues...

Her voice doesn't bother me.
I do like McGee.
And the judge reminds me of Barney Rubble. Not in a bad way, though.
Semi retired, good reputation, slow and deliberate and VERY patient. I think he loves what he does.
