On February 4th, 2010 my employer's entire family didn't mysteriously disappear. I think I would have had a better memory during that time if I had.

Well that's you. We have to look at what is standard for Chase. Chase forgot his home address in that Feb. 2010 interview. He forgot Metro's address. And he couldn't recall exactly what he was doing on the 8th. My guess, there is some memory issue there-perhaps due to medication or even age. Or stress.

Clearly, there would be no reason to lie about not knowing his address.

Interesting to me is that he has absolutely no alibi for what he was doing for the days of and following their disappearance. Nothing in his financial or cell phone records can show that he was elsewhere that week, and furthermore there is no credible eyewitness testimony to show he was elsewhere. The DT so far has not attempted to alibi him ANYWHERE from the 4th through the 8th. While admittedly all the evidence we have seen so far is circumstantial, I am convinced that Jarvis was the key to his arrest. Surely she noticed suspicious or out of character behavior by him that week, and after 4 years and being separated from him for awhile I believe she was likely more forthcoming with SBSD about things she probably never told San Diego LE. I don't know if she is the confidential informant who won't be testifying or not, but I am convinced she was pivotal to the investigation. Based on the warrants, she gave them the crucial evidence they needed to arrest him. He was arrested very soon after they recovered the laptop from her mother.

I can almost promise you she is not an informant, unless there was recent developments. If she was the defense would have to know this and if this was the case it would seem they would be operating from a different position than they have been.

After they separated CJ hauled much of their belongings to her mother in Arizona and she had it in storage. Being so early in the case it would seem the laptop would have been accessible to Chase and may have hold some revealing clues. Maybe it's the source of the quotes about "Remorse, forgiveness and murder" that detectives found in his home. Maybe it's what he used for the QB on the 5th.

There is a rumor of a missing laptop not recovered. Was there 5 "devices" listed recovered from the home or am I mistaken?

There is no mention in any of the search warrants or at prelim that Cathy Jarvis added anything to this investigation. I doubt very much that her testimony will be critical in this case.

What? Why would they mention anything. I imagine there are a lot of things that havent been released or mentioned.

Its foolish to believe LE wasnt getting any new information from Cathy when they have interviewed her several times after the PH. Imo.

Imo, so I say stay tuned, more information is going to be revealed by Cathy in her testimony.

Which is very commonly done by exes who are no longer in a relationship with the accused murderer. Once they know they are locked up they no longer have the fear they did back then.

Imo

I wonder if CM moved frequently. That would explain him not remembering his address. I forgot my address when I had recently moved. Also, I am not surprised he didn't know MSM address. I don't think he sent much correspondence through the mail to MSM.

Like when he blatantly gave a false address when getting a ticket in 2011. To me he doesn't have memory problems but issues with telling the truth. Remembered about watching a movie but forgot he didn't own a TV. He certainly remembered where the casinos were but somehow forgot paying his rent.

Not true. If Cathy Jarvis were intrinsic to this case, she would have been mentioned at prelim. And anyone giving key information is mentioned in the Search Warrants as well. So far the state has presented no surprise witnesses-other than last minute expert witnesses, but these have all been in keeping with previously known evidence.

The state has not departed from their case at prelim at all. Not in any way that matters.

state back up;;;

state contends that there are MORE casino withdrawals then they thought earlier

PCA and GPA are also casino withdrawals, according to the FA, and he just now learned of that , so the amount of casino cash is higher

the court is taking their morning break now, and the FA is going to give the jury the NEWLY REVISED gambling total.

I am sure the DT is scrambling right now to figure how to push back.

He had been living at that address for at least 9 months. It's an odd thing to forget. And he also forgets what he was doing on the the 8th, and we know from testimony that on the 8th he was at Metro mid-morning, and at home later that afternoon.

He also forgets Metro Sheet Metal's address.

The prelim was almost 3 years ago.

Clearly you forgot that Joey was setting up a new check writing method that freely allowed him to write as many checks to himself for as many thousands of dollars as he wanted. I believe he discovered this method from studying many Fortune 500 companies.
You know Plo, Joseph sounds like he was a wonderful son, husband, dad and friend, but he sure as hell picked a monster of a friend.

Who happens to be wearing the white shirt he slept in. We can now call him Chaste instead of Chase dont you agree?

Stress?

Yes. Stress can cause memory loss. Lots of things can. I don't know why Chase is forgetting an array of things most of us would have no issue remembering, but these other factors need to be ruled out. Or at least considered. There is no reason to lie about recalling your address. I don't know what possible motive there could be for pretending to forget information like that.

He also forgets Metro Sheet Metal's address.

You ever notice how they never respond when you ask about CM's phone pinging near the burial site.

Or back dating the cheques

I think he was faking he forgot his address so that he could feign bad memory with regard to what he was doing when Joey disappeared!

So in other words he is an unreliable witness

If Chase is innocent, at the point he's giving DNA and being interviewed, he doesn't know the family is dead. And given that there were some issues in their lives at that time around CPS, and that the family did sometimes just leave for short vacations, he may have had no idea that he would need an alibi for that weekend.

The family wasn't found dead for over 3 years.

If he was creating and deleting and cashing checks from his bosses account, EVEN IF HE HAD PERMISSION< he had to know they would be suspicious. I would think he'd have an alibi in place if he was innocent or guilty.
