I’m not denying her need of oxygen but merely questioning her veracity. Now I am even more disgusted that CM would have his ill sister come to his defense. Where does it end? He is a sociopathic narcissist and will throw anyone under the bus to his benefit.

What if he is innocent? What if she IS telling the truth about his visiting her?

What is disgusting or narcissistic about supporting an innocent man?

I thought she said she had recent (to the interview?) back surgery and a pulmonary embolism or multiple embolisms. But I don't recall if she said or was asked exactly when it was (or if it was a glitch time lol). Her strokes were before 2010 is my understanding. Some people recover well from a stroke, some don't. Some have lasting medical issues, some don't.

Strokes can completely alter a person-and memory? Forgettaboutit.

I am stalking the youtube page, will post when I see it :) I really want to watch it again... I was only half listening, and I should know by now not to take Cathy's tweets as truth either. She has one tweet that said she was talking about her cats and dogs, and I recall Smith saying she was talking to the cats and dogs in her yard during the interview. Sometimes one word changes the whole meaning of it LOL

I was also watching chat around that time because someone was claiming to be Chase's daughter... @geevee saw that I'm sure ;-) I was interested to see what she would say lol

Yes, I saw that chatter, what was funny about it was another anon showed up right about the same time professing his innocence, I wanted to know if he was going to testify but she ignored me.

Maybe I was remembering another recent trial but I thought on day 1 the judge ordered witness sequestration, and the LE that testified was asked by Maline if he'd seen testimony earlier today and he said no, he was outside (and I thought he was referring to the sequestration order), maybe you could watch for what exactly he says on your reviewing of it.

Luckily, if the jury believes a witness lied either previously in an interview or later in testimony, they can throw out everything they said as untrustworthy, which I feel this witness is.

She may not be the most reliable witness, but if the DA really wanted to score points, they should have played the recording of the interview (if that exists), because Smith has also not proven to be 100% reliable.

I think this does not apply to family. But I also don't think she is going to testify. Cathy Russon has met and talked to her in person at the trial.

and yes, I did hear that today. Bachman saying that he didn't hear Boles testimony. I need to hear that all again too, because it was glitching!!!! Was interesting because Bachman was testifying that he believed what he was being told about the cell records to be true, GPS coordinates of the phone, the phone was off on the 4th... and after Boles testimony, and him basically coming to the conclusion that what he "believed" about the calls on the 4th may not be true... how did the jury feel about that? He was using that against CM in the interview, and they know what Boles ended up saying in the end.

So her stroke was old. But back surgery and embolisms were recent. She could very well be on pain meds and a host of other meds to treat her embolisms. Not sure how this would effect her testimony though.

Did she remember it or did they have to ask her if she "recalled" saying this or that?
They went over the interview with her repeating what she told Smith. There were times she looked confused and Rodriguez had to show her the statements. She seemed to get many dates and years mixed up. I'm going to watch again from the beginning. Something was off about the whole testimony.

I was hoping for the recording as well, he had a transcript so it seems reasonable there is one.

*snipped*

Any person proclaiming to be associated with a defendant in a trial is taking a huge risk identifying themselves on social media like that. Anything they post may subject them to a subpoena. Trial lawyers have minions watching social media.

Will do the same. Question is how much weight did the jury give to her testimony?

I'm not sure how old? Back surgery and embolisms were around that time... I think???

Basically from what I can recall that she said was... she did not remember talking to the officer. Smith was pointed out to her, she said no, he was a much younger officer LOL She said she was not in her right mind at the time, she was on enough pain killers to make her drool.

I really want to listen to it again. I think it may have been the way Rodriquez worded the questions (going by Cathy's tweets).

I am not a pill popper... give me a tylenol with codeine and I'm out for 18 hours haha But I do have loved one's that have unfortunately needed strong pain meds after surgery/illness. If you have a medical background, I am not sure how you could say they would not have an impact on her memory and/or how coherent her statements are or were at the time. I get that we have no idea about the truthfulness of what she has said about the meds and when she was taking them, but that's not our job, that's the prosecutor's job, IMO they should have made sure, they should have asked more questions before they put her on the stand. That's my opinion based off of what I saw this afternoon. Smith seemed to acknowledge that she did just have surgery too, but says she seemed "fine". Fine to him means what?

I doubt she's worried lol she wasn't making any earth shattering statements. Other than to say "he's innocent, wait for defense" the mod asked why she wasn't there... she said that she goes as much as she can, but she does have school and work and a life...

She only said something because someone else in chat said something about his "daughter", it probably ticked her off LOL

BBM
From what Smith was relaying, she was coherent and answering his queries.
I want to hear the recording.

So you are also saying then that she did not just have surgery back then and she was not on pain killers? And she didn't have strokes?

No, I am saying that I don't believe she was a drooling mess that didn't know what was going on. JMO

She had a lot of detailed and specific answers. If she was a drooling mess who was incapable of communicating, she wouldn't have given such clear, specific replies. IMO

Or it's not really the daughter.

I wouldn't go dare go on social media if someone connected to me was on trial for murder....I'd be in a cave somewhere waiting for the whole thing to blow over.

Very true, I had my first of three strokes at age 26. It took several months for me to be able to match faces with names of friends and family. I also lost approximately a 2 year chunk of my memory. My condition has varied following each stroke and also following 2 heart attacks. I have learned not to expect my, or another's, condition to be identical subsequent to any medical catastrophe.
