Now she has an illegal addiction to pain meds?????

What? She's got an illegal addiction to pain meds? LOL

NOT what I wrote. I was citing m experiences with myself and others on pain meds, including ones who are addicted to them (legal or otherwise), ie, several elderly veterans. "Illegal"addicts LIE regardless.

But, hey, if you want to take it that direction, do you think she's addicted to pain killers?

I’m pretty sure those are the best screenshots available. I’m going to go back and make sure. What we really need are the actual documents, but I don’t suppose we can get them.

and those are not good ones LOL I would like to see other emails between the two with cash amounts. Still want an explanation of what Provecho and Levine is/was. They are separate from the others.

It's something that is not at all uncommon with wrongful convictions. The defendant lies about something they don't want LE to know about, that actually has nothing to do with the crime they are being interviewed about-they get caught in that lie, and then it is assumed they must be guilty of more.

In this case, the sister probably did lie about Chase visiting her, because she thought that would make him look guilty. She didn't realize that lying to cops would actually make things worse for him.
Okay. She is a confirmed liar. But now we should believe her? Is that what you are saying?

Because it probably doesn't help them.

I guess it has been... @Tortoise posted a screenshot from Dugal's testimony. I guess I just expected it to be more than what it was.

Missed today. Hubby had emergency quadruple bypass. Whew. 6 hours in surgery. I see that you all have been busy.
love, hugs and prayers to you and him! Wishing him a speedy recovery and strength for you too!
Sorry I had to edit as I was apparently replying to previous post simultaneously. Lol
Sincerely, best wishes to you both!

She lied when she called her brother handsome!

I thought I heard her say that but thought I must have been hearing things! Any I Love Lucy fans?
Remember the episode where they had to go to court over the broken TVS and they rehearsed what to say on the witness stand?

Old medical person here. I never buy into these medical excuses. Memory loss from having stents, drooling or being on meds. All BS, IMO.

BINGO.

So she said. Again I don’t want to discount anyone’s legitimate medical issues but the pot is full IMO.
omg now she's lying about multiple ailments and surgery? LOL

She gets it from her brother! Does she also have a history of a heart attack and CHF or is CM projecting?! No one should lie about a medical diagnosis because Karma is a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. No joke!
Lying about an illness it not funny and certainly not a way to win favor with any jury.

Your post in the midst of talking about Ms Merritt being on drugs, sure looked like that was what you were implying.

Sorry if I misunderstood.

In my experience, when someone is on pain meds including myself, if you are an honest person, you tend to be honest while on said meds, in some cases even brutally honest. I've experienced this "honesty" with pathological liars.
With someone who has an illegal addiction to pain meds, liar, liar, pants on fire.

Didn't make much of an impact, apparently.

Okay, so if they have not talked to her since that interview with Smith, how can they say she is lying? She is saying today, that she does not even remember the interview, and does not remember Smith. Did they show a statement between then and now that shows something different?
If she doesn't even remember the interview, how is she remembering what she did and didn't say?

Can you link to me anything that shows she is lying about her illness? Didn't she have an oxygen tank yesterday? Do we think she rented the oxygen tank for good measure????

One very strong issue pointing to Chase's innocence is that he allowed, perhaps even insisted on his legal team investigating every bit of the evidence. They could just as easily have found more evidence against Chase, not the exculpatory evidence they found.

And if they had found evidence of guilt, they would have been required to turn that over. Under California law, discovery works both ways.

Why would a man allow a deeper investigation into the evidence, if he had anything to fear from that?

This speaks loudly to the innocence of Chase, for me.
