I believe its a case of him thinking because he couldnt have his wife he took the life of the boy so the mum couldnt have him. Very selfish individual. That little boy already had a fight on his hands with his illness and then for this to happen too. So very heartbreaking for the mum and all the family concerned.

Don't discount the disability.

There are some men out there - not many, but it's common enough to be a trend - who are incapable of accepting the fact that they fathered a disabled child. They'll claim the child isn't theirs, they'll abandon the family, refuse to pay child support, and in extreme cases end the child's life. Anything - anything - not to accept that their child is disabled and that they can't magically fix it.

Most of them have bought into the evil sociopathic monstrous "Just World" fallacy, the belief that bad things only happen to bad people, and that disability is therefore a sign that someone is bad. They obsess over a fake-Christianized sense of 'karma' - the evil evil evil evil mindset "what goes around comes around" is what I mean - and are often horrifically ableist and the first to scream in inchoate rage should someone want to spend taxpayer money on accessibility. They literally despise the disabled, so when a child of theirs is disabled they turn into monsters.

If we had the sense to teach people that the fake-Christianized concept of 'karma' is wrong wrong wrong, that bad things happen to good people all the time, that disability is a fact of life, that "with God nothing is impossible" is the most malicious, corrosive, anti-Christian, hateful concept ever - because no, the blind absolutely WILL NOT see and the lame absolutely WILL NOT walk just because 'someone cares', that's 100% and in all instances blaming the victims for not trying hard enough - if in other words people were taught that the disabled are people who matter just as they are and that disability is a fact of life and not a punishment....things like this might not happen as often.
