Found Deceased CA - Jolissa Fuentes, 22, Selma, 7 Aug 2022

On the official missing FB page for Jolissa, her sister answers the question as to whether or not she aleady had the weed she was supposedly to be to be headed to smoke in one of the comments, FWIW.
I only could find a private group. Is there another one? Sorry again...found it. I will shut up now....reading the whole thread first. I know how annoying it is....

Just reacting spontaneously here, sorry if I missed information.

For now, going through the whole thread.

What is so chilling about saying I'll be right back?...brother, grandma...who was it? What a BS in this reporting all together and an "off" headline, but we are getting used to that, sadly.

Her grandmother must have known her demeanor....why go to your grandmothers home for a bag (what was in the bag?weed)? and money in the mids of the night? What is the explanation for that? An excuse because she felt so sad? Or did she have a key to her grandmothers house and she slept, noticing money and a bag missing? Her calling a sister: I can imagine calling my brother (who lives in another part of the country) in the mids of the night if I would be an emotional wreck (meaning very drunk and overly emotional, sobbing) and needed to talk to someone close. If I was feeling in danger I would call somebody close to home/hometown/the place I'm at, who could physically do something and drive up.

Video at the convenience store: About the clerk in the store. He makes a strange gesture with his hands, what does it mean? BTW...never knew you use a cigar for smoking weed, learned something new. :) Never saw somebody doing it over here (the Netherlands) She looks agitated or drunk. Her family says she was buying a snack but it turns out to be a cigar...
She lives in her Grandmother's house, so the impression I got was Jolissa went home & grabbed money & a bag.

"I think she was just out really late and something bad happened," Fuentes' sister, Irene Fuentes, told MEAWW. "I have no clue. I wish I did, but I don't. I spoke to her at 12 am, a few hours before she went missing. I video called her on Facebook and she answered and told me she was with her friends and would call me later."

"I would describe Jolissa as the funniest person ever. She had a big heart. She loved all her family and friends and children. She loved music. She was not shy or quiet. Everyone loves her," Irene said. "Me and her are three years apart. I'm her big sister. Mine and her bond is like no other. We're best friends. I would take her to hangout with my friends and she'll take me to hangout with hers. We were as close as sisters can be."

“I would like to tell the police I wish they would try their hardest. Try as hard as if Jolissa was one of their own daughters or sisters. I feel they don't put a lot of effort into looking for her. I only see me and my family when I'm out searching for her," she said.

"I wish law enforcement would do a lot more. I know they can follow the cameras or do something. They aren't trying their hardest," she added. Meanwhile, Internet sleuths have come together to form a Facebook group called 'Find Jolissa Fuentes', where they have been sharing clues, ideas, and praying for Fuentes' safe return.

I appreciate the general public," Irene said. "They have been more helpful than the police have been. Always sharing her pictures and posts and helping my family out whether it be with flyers or bringing us waters and even praying for us. I appreciate everyone so much. I just wanna thank you and everyone else who has been trying to help. I appreciate everyone."

I’m a bit confused over seeing conflicting statements about Jolissa going to the orchards alone. Some articles state she would never go there alone. Does that mean she has not gone there alone since her friend died? Or has she gone with her sister or brothers since her friend died?
So is it out of character for Jolissa to go there alone?
At 4am in the dark to sit in an orchard?

Money for what? A bag of what?

I dunno know you guys, after some deep digging into the people she associated with and her siblings associated with, I have a really hard time believing if there was foul play that it wasn't organized crime or gang related, and that's just my own speculation. Not sure how much I'm allowed to say so just do your own digging on that. There's a code of conduct when it comes to the streets, you just don't talk to LE about it and things are handled via that code of conduct. Like I said, I grew up in a similar environment, talking to the cops, selling drugs in someone elses territory or owing money was the fastest way to get taken out in cold blood. I think the siblings are withholding information, either for the family's sake or to hide their own involvement/associations elsewhere. It probably isn't intentional or malicious, if anything theres a heavy sense of denial or guilt surrounding all of them, which is to expected with great trauma like this. The family is holding out blind faith that she's alive and will come home safely, and imo the siblings are probably trying to preserve that picture of her as well. Not to mention, people are judgmental and may have written her off as unimportant if they knew there was gang involvement potentially. Again this is all speculation, but I do think it needs to be thrown out there because we literally have no evidence to support anything at this point. There's more to the story, and I think someone knows something more. What I do find strange is, she went home to get cash and her bag, but do we know for sure she was the one that took that money? How did someone know there was cash missing? And how much money was it? She's shown using a card at the gas station, but not her bank card as that hasn't been used since 8/5. Possibly a prepaid/venmo/cashapp card, but why stop by to grab cash if you're going to pay with card and don't plan on buying drugs because you already have them?
Something I am also very curious about is who lived where. We know Jolissa lived with her grandparents, but we don't know why she lived there instead of her parent's. Do her siblings live there too? I don't think it's particularly odd, I'm just wondering if her parents were so close to her why she'd be living and reporting fo her grandparents instead. Maybe she had more freedom there, maybe she was helping them out, maybe she was a registered caretaker for them, who knows it doesn't have to be something negative I just think it's worth taking note of. Especially depending on where the siblings are living as well.

As far as I can tell, these are the plausible speculatory theories at the moment.
A) She was under the influence of something and had a car accident and has been hard to find due to the environment
B) She was met with foul play in a crime of opportunity
C) She was met with foul play or lured out in a pre meditated hit
D) She was involved in something either some or none of her family is completely unaware of
E) She doesn't want to be found.

i saw the cctv footage from the AMPM store and what i infer from it is that the man who went by JF maybe looked at her in a strange way because she was buying cigars and so when she exited she looked in his direction because she felt some danger and maybe she headed in the left direction because that person was following her since he knew that she was vulnerable.

Does anyone have any credible updates on the pending under water search for her?

Find Jolissa Fuentes FB page approved to link?

It seems they have had a lot of volunteers helping provide drones which I think is great for that area. A lot of flat land, fields, orchards etc. But I seen they now are hoping to get a k9 search team out. Unsure if I can link it. But her sister also confirmed in the group nothing was found in the two lakes by AWP.

She might still be out there, alive and well. Hopefully she is located soon. The family deserves closure.

Dated 8/23
"I love all my kids more than one can imagine," Nunez told MEAWW. "Lissy (Jolissa) is my baby girl and she is the strongest and toughest of all my children. She is family-oriented and loves everyone dearly. Lissy lights up any room she enters. The last few days have been very tough and we just want her back home, where she belongs."

“Jolissa was at my sister-in-law's house the last time I spoke with her before she disappeared," Nunez recalled. "I believe she was telling me something about her brother. Lissy loved her brothers and sisters."

Yes, it is approved.

Jolissa's mom, Norma is a member of the Admin / Mod team, so anything said by one of the Admins or Norma may be discussed here. I'll add the link to the Opening Post of this thread.

As always, comments by others on that page are not allowed.

Thanks for checking Squirrel :)

There are some good ideas on the "Find Jolissa Fuentes" FB page. Getting a spare key fob and use it when covering possible roads she may have used for lights or alarm. Checking to see if the dealer put a GPS chip in the car when purchased. Checking the parking lots in Selma and Fresno.

  • #177
With the obvious water spots searched, I suppose the search shifts to the land. And parking lots. I suppose that just because her phone made it up to the lakes her and her car may be elsewhere - assuming foul play. I wonder about that 'last ping'. Was there a lack of cell coverage past the lakes? IOW, if she went farther than the lakes, but there were no cell towers close enough to ping her phone.

  • #178
Cell coverage gets spotty when you get out of town, especially depending on your carrier.

My apologies if this has been mentioned before but do we know how Jolissa typically spends her days? Did she have a job? Was she a student?

Hey everyone as I'm sure you all know Adventures with Purpose didn't find anything in the waters where Jolissa's phone pinged. I am so happy that she's not in there, but now we are back to looking for her any and everywhere at this point. I miss my sister so soooo much, today is 3 weeks. 21 days. Thank you to everyone for all of the support. I appreciate everyone for being here for my family. Any questions you have I will try my best to answer. I love you sister Jolissa Fuentes , we're gonna bring you home.
