16 year old Jonathan Adrian Pardo left with his cousin Carlos Perez on Monday June 20th at approximately 8 a.m.

16 year old Jonathan Adrian Pardo left with his cousin Carlos Perez on Monday June 20th at approximately 8 a.m. They are believed to have made it into the Azusa canyons to camp and fish, just hours before the fire broke out.

The family has had no communication with them since and their phones are off.

A pair of burned bodies found in the Angeles National Forest north of Azusa are suspected to be the remains of two hikers who went missing at around the same time the Reservoir Fire burned through the area. According to the Los Angeles Times, both 16-year-old Jonathan Pardo and 31-year-old Carlos Perez have been missing since June 20, the same day the fire first broke out...

As of now, the bodies haven't been positively identified.

On the Azusa City News facebook page it has been confirmed that the remains suspected to be the hikers, were indeed Pardo and Perez. RIP.
