An Endangered Missing Alert is in effect Friday in Los Angeles County for a 55-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man who were reported missing in El Monte.

The CHP issues Endangered Missing Alerts if the missing person is developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired, has been abducted, is ill or is unable to otherwise care for themselves and may be in peril.

I can't find any information about the circumstances behind this Endangered Missing Advisory. The CHP poster labels Jose Espinoza as a victim and labels Maria Espinoza as a suspect.

In my opinion, her photo likely isn't recent, she's 5 foot 3 and 270 pounds. Medically that's severely obese. To me, she doesn't look that heavy in her driver's license photo which is used as the missing photo, but that's also likely where LE got her weight info from. His picture may not be current either, but the fact it's in a hospital/medical setting would, to me, indicate it's something recent - especially in that he's labeled a "Victim".

Their names are common enough that I can't find any specific public records of them. They went missing from El Monte. If she lives in El Monte White pages has her listed as having an address there, but there is no Jose listed as a relative for that particular Marie E. (other names are listed) so that may not be her. He has a trach in the photo and appears bedbound IMHO as an RN.
