I hope her life ahead will be peaceful--and she won't get involved with any more creeps! It's better to be single than hook up with a criminal !!!!

Body found in canal where kidnapped boy discovered

A man's body matching the description of the suspect in the kidnapping of a 4-year-old boy was found Saturday morning in a Central California canal.

An autopsy scheduled for Tuesday will reveal the final results, but Stanislaus County Sheriff's detectives said that a water district employee found a body floating in the Delta-Mendota Canal south of Patterson at 8:30 a.m.

The article I linked yesterday also said the body of a Hispanic male was wearing clothing that matched what Rodriguez had on. Has to be him. MOO

Amen. But I just now saw a short clip on the news showing the pregnant mother making a comment about the body being found.

She announced that she was naming her unborn baby girl Julianni in tribute to her son.

AWWWWWWW. Please do not saddle that poor baby with her dead brothers name. Nooooo. I just feel awful for that little baby if mom does that.

Maybe I am wrong...but it just feels sad to me. She will have the burden of being the daughter of the killer and the name of the victim forever.

I agree.

I agree as well I cringed when I read that :(

I read that Tabitha said she was naming the baby girl Juliani, this morning. I was hoping that was a misprint. Maybe whatever professional (hopefully she is seeing one) - will suggest she might want to reconsider.

I also hope this baby is not given Jose's last name.

You can thank people on facebook.... they are the ones who suggested she name her daughter that. She had intended before this happened to include Jose's name in there and now I can not remember how. (Josie?) They suggested she not do that and instead name her Julianna.

I actually think that maybe as a middle name it wouldn't be too bad. That might be a compromise Tabitha could handle. Giving her another first name, then Julianna as a middle name. Still able to honor him... that might be enough.

If someone has a facebook, they might suggest that to her. That if this child is named Julianna she may feel like a replacement... like she has to live up to Juliani. Living up to someone that is no longer here is impossible. They cannot do anything wrong anymore. It doesn't matter if Tabitha doesn't feel she is replacing Juliani, or that she was already pregnant. That could easily be how her child feels later.

I also hope that Tabitha and Jose's Mom stay on good terms. I hope Jose's Mom will understand him not being on the birth certificate and not giving the baby his last name. I hope Tabitha will understand if Jose's Mom wants to be involved in the baby's life and will respect that. I don't want to see this child end up in the middle of a court battle.

I agree that giving her a middle name with J or something like that is appropriate. But not the same exact name. That is just too much of a burden for the little girl. IMO

And I agree about the last name. The sperm donor is no longer with us, of his own accord. So he chose not to be part of her life.

I agree that naming her the exact same thing doesn't sound healthy, for mom or for baby. Maybe a middle name, or a variation. Adji Desir's parents named his baby sister Adjiana. I thought that was cute. But you all make good points.

Juliana would be a nice middle name, along with using Tabitha's surname. Eventually telling the little girl about her father and Juliani will be hard enough without adding the burden of his name. :( MOO

I think it was fine in Adjiana's case because her father did not kill her older brother and then himself. That is a burden this poor baby will have to live with.
