BPD searches for missing 13-year-old girl

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen in the 1000 block of Shattuck Avenue around 2:45 p.m. Monday.

Missing 13-year-old girl, Kai'lan Alderete, was last seen in the 1000 block of Shattuck Avenue, Bakersfield, around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Oct 7, 2024.


Five-foot tall,100 pounds, brown hair, hazel eyes and wears braces. Police say she was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, red and black Nike shoes.

I keep waiting for more information.

Was this a case where she was lured online, walked out of her house, and got into a vehicle? Did she leave her house for a walk or a run and she was grabbed? Did she decide to take a break from her parents?

What's the sense with this missing 13 year old?
