Well thats a bit of a plot twist.... I wonder if something happened in the home that night with Karlie, if now one would be more likely to speak up....
My thoughts echo yours. Is the co-conspiracy falling apart? JMO-

Deeply saddened we still have no new information this far out in Karlie’s disappearance, especially after the weird video series the FBI released. I thought we were, for sure, getting closer to something.

What video series was released by the FBI? Do you have a link or can you tell me where to look for it? TIA!

I can't find a date for this but I've never seen this information. I always wanted Karlie's boyfriend to speak out. This is a screenshot of his mom's texts.

Karlie Guse’s boyfriend’s mom speaks out about Karlie not owning gray sweatpants | Karlie's Angels

"Karlie was close to her boyfriend Donald. They had known each other since they were toddlers in the same daycare. Donald’s mom, Alaina spoke out on social media about what Karlie was supposedly wearing the morning she disappeared. “Eyewitnesses” said that they saw a female matching Karle’s description walking in the neighborhood the morning she vanished. Karlie didn’t own a pair of gray sweatpants which makes the statements of the “eyewitnesses” dubious at best. Melissa Guse was seen wearing gray sweatpants the day of Karlie’s disappearance and has also admitted to walking around the neighborhood the morning Karlie disappeared. Questions abound about who the three “eyewitnesses” actually saw. The “eyewitnesses” are the only thing standing between Melissa and Zach Guse being investigated for causing Karlie’s disappearance. It is also noteworthy that Melissa Guse was the first person Witness #1 and Witness #2 spoke with regarding what they saw. There is a high probability that the eyewitness accounts were contaminated by speaking with Melissa Guse."
I don't understand why the boyfriend's mom, would know for absolute certainty that Karlie didn't have a pair of grey sweatpants to put on. She seems pretty definite about something that is not that certain.

Teen girls have ALOT of clothes to choose from. Theirs, their sibling's, their friend's, their mom's, ---endless choices. Especially if they were tripping...they might grab a pair from the dryer, or from their closet or their siblings room...who knows?

The only thing I can think of is maybe Karlie detested sweatpants and everyone knew it and/or that or she didn't have any and was forbidden to wear any of her mother's clothes. She definitely felt sure of what she was saying.

No, she said her son knows she only had black sweatpants, no other colours. That is one reason I think she is being adamant about something with little solid evidence. Just because her son tells her he has only ever seen her wear black sweatpants, that doesn't mean she didn't grab a grey pair from somewhere to put on.

My daughter used to trade and borrow clothes with friends all the time. Drove me crazy. It is hard to keep track of a teen girl's wardrobe, in my opinion. And I don't think you can use that shaky claim as evidence that a parent or stepparent is guilty of disappearing her. JMO

Someone asks 'how do you know she didnt have any grey sweats, only black?

And she says : "Because my son knows what she wears and owns more than anyone else"

[I don't see that as indisputable proof that she couldn't have been wearing grey sweats that morning...]

I agree that Karlie, like most teens, owned or had access to clothing that her boyfriend might not know about. What made the gray sweatpants an issue to begin with was the Step-Mother changing the description of Karlie’s clothing to what she herself was wearing that morning.

Yes, that is hinky that stepmom changed the description to what she herself was wearing that morning. Very suspect...

Karlie had one sibling, her brother. Also, she was pretty skinny so in my opinion her stepmother's sweats would look really baggy on her.

I am curious if they recovered the jeans she was wearing the night before. Does anyone recall?

Not to my knowledge. I don't think so.

I lasted about 2 minutes per video, if that. First one by Zachary - "this case; the disappearance" - seriously?
The young son? My goodness.

IMO, she (Melissa) was who the witnesses saw.

I doubt that was even considered. Because it seems like no one took this seriously at all.

If your child asks you if they should go to the hospital, you take them - or you are at least guilty of negligence.
If you caused the injury, you're guilty of murder. If you stage a 'walk', you're guilty of a cover-up.
How is it that the local sheriff/LE didn't see what we did?

Although I am inclined more in the same direction that most of the speculation in these threads have pointed, I am curious if the terrain searches in the area considered the possibility that KG made it to Hwy 6 (the end of the scent trail, per the canines) and then doubled back east when she realized it was too far to Bishop/something spooked her/or she was out in the early morning hours just in time to sunrise in the White Mountains...
