Circumstances point mostly to a run away. I just came across this case today. I haven't dug in to it too far and I don't plan too but my theories in-line with a dreamer I respect. From what I can gather she was using weed, had got suspended from school, and was lying to her folks about what she was doing that previous night but apparently went to a party. My primary theory which I could branch out in different directions from or may be totally wrong, is that she met someone or knew someone from the party or had came in contact with someone recently while suspended from school, that she met up with and she could be with. You've got an established (per either mom or sm) bit of a crisis going on in her life with pot at her age and I doubt anyone killed her because of it. Maybe the family was overbearing about it and maybe she ran away to get more of it. If that's the case it's highly unlikely these new weed friend(s) wanted to kill her and highly unlikely she was simultaniously randomly abducted or died of natural causes walking. Someone may have slipped her another cell phone therefore she didn't care about her's and that's how they communicated and the family didn't know.

I don't know. That seems like a lot to hide from her (at that time) boyfriend. And anyone else that Karlie deemed a close friend. And they went to a party. It's not like they were all hunting for elusive weed. It really is perplexing no matter what hypothesis you follow up on.

What color jerseys are we getting ? Sitting on my hands, so ....

Was there ever any discussion about Karlie's favorite color(s)? I forget. That (or those) would be the color(s) we should adopt for her "team". And I am in total agreement with the hand-sitting.

Sitting on ones hands is a good thing when one has an opinion that they can't be backed with facts.

I think it was meant to be confusing (i.e., various accounts).

KG is still missing, and nobody's been held accountable.

MOO
I wonder if they will hold onto those recordings they made? You know, to show Karlie how silly she was being that night/into morning, for when she returns from being missing?

IMO someone 'out there' knows what happened here. That part is obvious. Time will tell.

Praying she is found soon.

We were heading up to Tioga Pass and stopped in Bishop last weekend. There was a large missing banner on a fence for Karlie.

Oh Karlie, your mom needs you home. Thinking about you both.

Agreed. Sitting on my hands as well. Very frustrating.

I'm a big believer of the following statement, "if the words don't add up, it's usually because the truth wasn't included in the equation."

interpret that however you want.... MOO / IMHO

Couldn’t agree more.

I read back, looked at Google and watched the Dr. Phil show. Wow this case is contentious in terms of what people think happened to Karlie. Seems you would need to pick a side ...

Can I ask those of you who have followed the case from the beginning, what happened to Karlie?

I think she was incredibly unlucky.

I believe she wanted to get away from her parents for a while, went walking towards Bishop and got picked up by someone who offered her a lift. I believe that person wasn't a good person.

I think her parents, especially her step-mother, lied to save reputations when they thought the situation was going to be resolved quickly. I believe that the way the lies have unravelled have put them in a position where it's difficult for onlookers to trust them.

What I'm struggling to understand is why they didnt take Karlie to the ER that night? I would have been scared crapless that my kid took something harmful and I would have wanted to know what that pot was laced with.

There is something off about her parents, not as bad as Billie Jean Dunn (Hailey Dunn case), but close.

I don't believe she ran away. I don't believe she ran anyway out of that house anyways.
This poor girl.

Deserving of more than just a bump. IMO anyway.

From the link -- I don't recall this statement before (bold).

Sheriff Ingrid Braun says, "This remains a Missing Person investigation. We have a deputy dedicated to this investigation, and we are working the case every day. The FBI continues to partner with us, and we have also met with the private investigator working with the family. bbm We will not release any details from our investigation unless those details will help locate Karlie."

Respectfully 100% disagree.

Smoking pot and going to parties does not equal teenage runaway. Nor would you have to run away to find marijuana, regardless of where you lived. Marijuana is legal in CA for recreational use, and granted she's underage, but it'd still be easy to find if she wanted to. The idea that she ran away over marijuana use seems extremely farfetched.

It only takes her going to school and asking one of the various kids that sell weed around the school to get her hands on some marijuana. No need to run away for any of that.
