IMO
This girl smoked marijuana and had a trip into psychosis. All of her behaviour points to this.
I believe she left the house as the step mother says, what happened after?
Either an accident or IMO stranger abduction.
You're not really saying anything new. The more attention this case gets, obviously, the better, but at this point, we're retreading the most cursory information surrounding the case.
To reiterate, the only suspects (people
we suspect) at this point are the aforementioned
Six Psychopaths (no confirmation if they've been investigated, but probably have), her birth mother and her boyfriend, her birth father and his wife, a trucker-serial killer, or just some random schmo. The trucker serial-killer/random schmo seem most likely, considering all known facts.
What has been logically ruled out: she's hiding somewhere, she died of dehydration and no one found her body for some unknown reason (she hid her own body before dying, coyotes ate it or something stupid like that).
The only reason we can suspect her SM: she lied a few times, possibly out of guilt. Begging Melissa to call 911 is not something Karlie did, nor did she cry out for her birth mother.
The only reason we can suspect her BM: her boyfriend was moving furniture and drove on the same road around the same time Karlie disappeared. He knew what Karlie looked like. I have no idea if this guy has a criminal record or if he's been accused of any misconduct—there's no evidence he's anything other than a normal guy who never creeped on anyone.
Serial killing truck driver: they exist. The FBI has duly noted their existence. It's been said this is the most common occupation for serial killers. Indeed, Samuel Little, who has one of the highest death tolls of any serial killer to date, was a trucker. Karlie disappeared near a major highway.
Six Psychopaths: sex offenders always reoffend. Always. They are notorious recidivists. Some of these guys were violent rapists who used force and intimidation to molest children. A vulnerable, young and beautiful girl like Karlie would be a prime target for any one of them. More than 2 spent at least 7 years in prison, during which time they could, through excessive

consumption, develop bizarre sadistic sexual fantasies like Ted Bundy and Lawrence Bittaker did. It's easy to see how prison time and subsequent poor treatment by people outside of prison could lead to an escalation of their violent sexual behavior.
Random schmo: This would be the most hopeless suspect, because it would be one whose identity we have no way of obtaining. To his credit, John Douglas came up with a lot of good psychological observations, although he was mostly full of crap. One of the good ones was that violent offenders who get away with their violent crimes have a tendency to reoffend.
That's why I entered this thread in the first place. That video, I truly believe, will reveal something far worse than a domestic dispute. I hope some of you shared it with people who knew Karlie. The first people we have to look at in cases of abduction are those who commit similar crimes regularly, and particularly those who commit similar crimes in California.
