Found Deceased CA - Kiely Rodni missing from Party Near Prosser Family Campground in Truckee #10

I watched the video, although I didnt except any videos to come, since it was ruled accident, and IMO they should have just leave it be. I support AWP, but they should stick with finding submerged cars, not trying to play detectives. Releasing this video is only going to cause hurt for the family and adding to wild rumors, accusations and conspiracy theories all for nothing. They also hint in the comments that they have yet another video, which they'll only release if a certain person is arrested. I'm sorry to say this but it feels like this is only trying to get support and attention to their channel after everything that's been going on with Jared.

IMO they should take this video down. It's just disrespectful.
One of the main team members who resigned from AWP stated that there were about 30 new episodes that they already filmed (some were probably edited as well, as the editors probably also resigned). So the narrative to KR's case was likely written before JL's indictment dropped.

I'm not sure what you mean, although at this hour (and the fact I didn't sleep well due to loud booms in the middle of the night), it very likely could be me. lol

What do you mean by this: I watched the video, although I didnt except any videos to come, since it was ruled accident

Did you mean you don't expect any arrests to come? If not, can you make your point clearer to my brain at this late hour? lol I do apologize for asking for clarity. :)

IMO if th family is okay with it then its with their blessing. If they have issues with the release they would state so but I haven't come across anything where they are upset. So maybe they really want the exposure of the tragedy out there so people can be aware of what the situation was in reality as opposed to heresay. For example the party itself with inebriated youth where anything could have happened including something such as what happened to their daughter..

Yeah, I'm sure they had this and other videos ready at hand. Didn't mean they should not release their work, but to me this particular video just feels wrong. I has nothing to do with their diving and recovering work. Rumor mill around this case was already going silent, which IMO was good for family and friends of Kiely. AWP should have let it go, too.

Sorry, perhaps my English isn't that good at times, typing from Finland here.

What I meant is that I didn't expect AWP to release any further videos of this case. I think they said earlier there will be more videos if the investigation goes this or that direction, which I took as there being suspection of foul play or something hinky going on. Since it was ruled an accident I thought (and hoped) the case would go silent for the sake of her family, because the rumors and accusations in SM were just going crazy.

Yes, the family may be ok with this, sure. It's just there is no point why this interview should be made public. The original vehicle discovery video could be seen as raising awareness to these matters (drunk driving, partying), but this does nothing else than raise rumors and it downright points fingers to certain people. This is far from educational, it's just adding to conspiracy theories that should have been gone and forgotten by now.

Because KR's case was deemed an accident, there won't be arrests. The episode was likely edited before the outcome was known. (all IMO)

Appparently the AWP channel will release the entire interview with Nick, the tow truck driver. People have been accusing them of fabricating his encounter with KR (or a lookalike) at Boca Lake.
AWP was advised by LE that the last KNOWN location of the car was near where it was found, not at BOCA Lake. AWP also knew that Nick had talked to a detective and that the tow company had all the records of the call for service. All AWP had to do was confirm with LE that they had already verified with the tow company, that Nick was wrong.
It was obviously determined that the car had not been last seen by Nick, as that would have drastically changed the investigation. MOO

Where has it been shown that the family has been happy or even OK about the postings of videos concerning the hearsay that Kiely's car was at BOCA Lake? IIRC, they were very upset that it was implied that Keily's ex-boyfriend could have been involved in her disappearance when they kept showing glimpses of his face while Nick was telling his story. Then AWP removed the video because of the complaints. MOO

The situation in reality is that the victim was in the reservoir and it has been proven that it was not possible that Kiely and her car were at BOCA Lake the next day. AWP and Nick's story are the source of the hearsay/misinformation/rumors/murder theories. MOO

You probably think of Boca Lake when you say Prosser. KR was found at Prosser Lake. LE told AWP that they had already searched Prosser Lake with their own sonar and found nothing. Boca had not been searched, so one of the reasons was to start there, especially if there was a chance of a prior sighting.

Thank-you, I was able to edit and fix it. I think they used Nick's information/interview even when they knew they could verify it as true or false, as good Youtube material, and as excuse to do a limited search of Boca.

I'm not going to argue here but the whole tragedy shouldn't have happened in the first place. I don't like it that all the blame is attributed to Kiely for her own demise MOO. AWP is showing the videos of what they observed and the Nick tow truck driver and what he said was an observation that was made by AWP so they can add it into what they are releasing. I haven't seen anywhere that the family disagrees with what was released. I agree evidence has been collected by LE and is based on that the conclusion was made. I don't have issues with that they are doing thier job. There are ways to mislead also. Can LE prove that what they have didn't have elements of deceipt to it? They cannot so we have to accept the conclusion even though there may be elements of deceipt to fool LE. I'm not saying everything of course but some elements could be there. MOO.

I'm confused by one thing: is there still an open investigation? If so, what is being investigated?

One thought I had after watching: I wonder if this interview factored into Diver Nick saying "It looks suspicious.." ?

I'm not someone who followed AWP prior to this, but Diver Nick seemed like an alright sort of guy, and this was his first time finding someone like this, right? (That is my understanding, I may be wrong.)

Anyway, I was watching his reaction to Roadside Nick, and that is my takeway. The interview may have influenced his remarks made when he first saw Kiely in the back of her vehicle, because he was already thinking something may have happened to her.

Kiely's death was ruled accidental, so that is no longer under any sort of investigation, correct? What IS under investigation? Some sort of recreation of her vehicle entering the water? Loose ends with the vehicle related parts of the case?

I have not heard anything about the CHP report being released, but I am also unsure if this would be released publicly or directly to the family. But maybe that could prevent the full closure of the case?

I was under the impression that the accident report must be released under the Public Records act.

Have her tox reports come back?

Happy Holidays Everyone.

With pre-approval from WS Mods, I am posting this 12/15/2022 AWP video addendum to their 9/2/2022 video about the recovery of the 2013 CRV from Prosser Lake. This addendum is an uncut version of AWP's interview with Nick the TTD.

Here is an exerpt from AWP's description of their latest video pertaining to the Kiely Rodni case:

"...To prove ... we didn't edit any video for a biased presentation, we're giving you both angles, 100% uncut and raw from audio on, cameras on, to the final cut. The investigation as to what happened to Kiely Rodni is still active as of Dec 15, 2022"

I hope they are not still insinuating Kiely's ex boyfriend was involved.

Kiely's mom seemed devastated by the things people were saying on SM about kids in her friend group. She pleaded for the rumors to stop because they were hurtful to the community.

In LE's last statement they said they will continue the investigation and working with the family so I doubt they will release any more information. I don't know if accident reports are ever made public.

One thing I will never forget about this case is Gray Hughes haunting video of the map overlay with the car driving straight into the lake. We spent so much time trying to figure out what happened and then saw it with our own eyes.

I hope the AWP video doesn't upset Kiely's family or friends. This will be their first Christmas without her.

I didn't listen to all of it but it seems they are just bringing up the same thing they implied in the beginning. They say they don't know who the person was with Kiely, could be a "boyfriend or ex boyfriend," then they describe someone with a cap and brown hair sticking out on both sides.

Are they still insisting it was Kiely in the car and what day was it? Didn’t they initially say it was the day after the accident? How could anyone have seen her?

Probably because it was someone else the tow truck guy encountered and not Kiely.
