Interview with Kiely's boyfriend
Hmmmmm
I sure hope Kiely is found soon.
She went to Reno the day before with him and another friend.
Not sure if they are BF/GF or EX BF but I am overwhelmed at how many people are out searching for her.

Friend of Kiely’s Mom, according to the article in the Sun (is the Sun approved?-if so, I can add the link)
Yes MSM is allowed.

ETA: Mind you, The Sun are renowned for occasionally bending the truth....(to put it mildly)

Not a bad road at all. Looks OK even for nighttime driving.

As you say @logical a way out of that basin without being detected by traffic or traffic cameras
If you were going fast on that road, though, you might spin off the edge because of the gravel. Almost happened to me once, not there, but on a similar road.

I do not think I have ever followed a case here where what we think we know, based on what has been reported, changes, and often contradicts itself, almost daily, and sometimes almost hourly, it seems. Many of us have been here long enough to know that Ockham's Razor ultimately applies to the majority of these cases, when you get right down to it. In this case, I am afraid Ockham would throw his razor as far away as he could, so as not to be holding any sharp object while trying to figure out this convoluted case. JMO

Abbott: Who's on first?

Costello: One base at a time!

Abbott: Well, don't change the players around…

I thought Mags and Kiely hung out most of the day of the party. Did they all three hang together.

“The day of the party, I hung out with her,” Kate Cuno, Rodni’s friend, said “We made creme brulee. Everything was normal. I don’t think she ran away or anything.”
Hmmmm....where were they making the cream brûlée? At the Lodge while Kiely’s mom was in Reno until 11pm?
Wonder if they had any guests at the Lodge.

Reno isn't that far from Truckee (about 32/33 miles) and Reno is the biggest local city for that area. So it is not uncommon for kids to go there to hangout.

You obviously weren't on the circus that is Summer Well's case then.

That was a heck of a ride....

Sadly still not found.

I've never heard of it so I googled and found this:

Edited to re-paste link
There's another article attached to this one that refers to a missing young couple headed to Reno. Unlikely they are related, but the story created a question: Do we know if anyone else is missing from the same party at Prosser?

What about checking the security footage at every single gas station within a 200-300 mile radius of where she was last seen?

When was the last time she bought gas? Did she have a full tank?

Samantha said that she arrived at the bonfire party around 9pm on Friday and Kiely got there about an hour later.

Samantha said that around 11pm, they went to Kiely’s car to charge their phones and arranged for Kiely to give her a ride home.

However, she changed her mind later when she saw that Kiely was clearly intoxicated, Samantha said.

The teenagers said goodbye to each other around 12.25am but Kiely called Samantha while she was riding home with a friend. That was the last known call Kiely made, Samantha claimed.

ETA- the quote regarding the last phone call:

SS speaking: "At about 12.36 am. I saw a call from her, so she called me. I was on my way home from the party and I was...she was supposed to give me a ride home, but I'd already told her I didn't need a ride home. And I answered it and she said, 'hey where are you? do you still need a ride home' and I was like, 'no I already told you this, we're all good. I'm like in the car right now like, thank you so much' and she was like, 'yeah course, love you, goodnight, like, I'll see you tomorrow' and I was like 'ok, love you, see you tomorrow, be safe' and then after that nobody's had any contact or sighting of her. So, it's been complete radio silence, her phone has been off, her like, location isn't on and nobody seems to have reportedly even seen her after 12.30 am, so. Source- Fox 40 Interview 8/8/22
BBM.

I wonder why she redirected her thought there. Redirected statements might indicate an area that need to be further explored.

Anyone remember this case from last year?
After an extensive week long search, and while knowing which road this couple travelled, the wrecked car was only found by a local guy using a drone.
Vehicle crash down a ravine could be very hard to locate, depending on vegetation and geology.

May have happened here....it's a very extensive area.
There has been a history of this happening....where cars slide off the road into a ravine or a body of water, and it takes a while to find them, sometimes years. The group "Adventures with Purpose" has focused on finding accident victims in bodies of water.

Since it was an iphone (assuming iOS 15), turning the phone off would not make it untrackable. It would have to be destroyed or submerged underwater.
Maybe she was trying to get a signal while driving, and this caused the vehicle to leave the road....

And this one. This girl disappeared from an off-ramp in broad daylight on a major highway. Missing Bucks County Woman Casey Johnston's Car Found In Northeast Philadelphia
A very recent one is the woman who disappeared heading to the California Coast. Her car was found off the road in the Trinity Alps, but the find was by accident, and it was several months later.

"They mentioned back roads to Reno"

One other option would be to take Prosser Dam Road to Boca Reservoir and join I-80 east from Boca to Reno. You'd still be on a major freeway, but you could avoid some traffic cams / plate readers if you got off in Verdi and took some of the back roads to Reno.

Another option would be to travel up to Sierra Valley off of Dog Valley road north on Smithneck Road to Loyalton, up 49 to 70 (which both have little traffic at night) to 395 at Hallelujah Junction and then south to Reno. There is a Caltrans camera at Hallelujah Junction, and then more Nevada traffic cameras coming into Reno, but LE might not think to link up a trip from Truckee via this route.
The thing is, there's a missing couple who were headed to Reno. Prolly not related to the Prosser Lake party, but who knows....

Must be you didn't follow Summer Wells case or Libby German and Abby Williams in Delphi case.
YIKES.... talk about reported changes, opinions and thoughts daily.
