On an unrelated note but something I haven't seen asked and have wondered about- what is the significance of law enforcement not releasing the location of the surveillance video image from 6pm Friday? I would think it would be fairly obvious to locals if they had been there before, so just curious why you guys think they wouldn't say where she was at in the surveillance image?
I don't know...maybe they think it's irrelevant. Or maybe they discovered this shop, or whatever it is, sells alcohol to minors and don't want to call out a manhunt from the community?

Someone linked a YouTube interview with Sami a page or two back. In that interview as you stated, she mentioned how she knew Kiely was wearing a bodysuit (peeing). She said those weren't the pants she was wearing that night (green dickies). Anyone else catch that?
Yes, and also on the CCTV footage earlier that evening Kiely is wearing white sneakers. She went missing with black sneakers. Where was she and were did she change her clothes?

Interesting. Keily was in contact with Jagger before she went to the party and he shared he had a bad day. What if she decided, while intoxicated, she was going to drive to Reno to surprise him and something happened.
It's Kiely of course. Sorry for that.

It seems strange to me, from the perspective of a kidnapper, to take the victim's car. He/she likely knows that that's what LE and the public will be looking for. Why take the risk and drive it around? Why not take the car you showed up in, no one will be looking for that right away. Unless he/she ditched her car soon after, but they'd either have to go somewhere to switch cars, with a captive, and further risk being seen or heard, or this is something coordinated. And if it's coordinated, like in the case of trafficking, why even take the victim's car to begin with? Don't they usually have a highly efficient procedure for this? Turns my stomach to think about it, but that's got to be the case...
The only way an abductor taking the car makes sense, is if it was simply a guy or guys at the party and it was a spontaneous, sudden, crime of opportunity— a situation that wasn’t planned and got out of hand. As in the 1995 case of Beverly Jackson who was raped by teens, then placed in the truck of her own car, and the car was pushed into a canal.

Was JW in Reno when he messaged Kiely prior to the party to “be safe“ and apparently messaged later about his bad day? Do we know his whereabouts at 10:30 PM Friday when Kiely responded?

There has been a history of this happening....where cars slide off the road into a ravine or a body of water, and it takes a while to find them, sometimes years. The group "Adventures with Purpose" has focused on finding accident victims in bodies of water.

For anyone interested, here is one example.

Ethan was missing 7 years, was at an outdoor party left in his car, never seen again...several parallels.
RiP Ethan.
Salute AwP.

There’s a sweet little portion (1:37) showing Kiely and her grandfather playing their instruments and she’s singing with a young soprano voice.

LE have been driving up and down our neighborhood streets "peaking" into open garages.

My younger daughter, who is a couple years older than KN, SS etc... bumped into neighborhood kids that were at the party. Guess the FBI went to their house to look around and interview them. FWIW, my teenage daughter relayed to me the neighborhood kids said the party had an unusual number of kids that they did not know and a "weird vibe".

Ok... just watched the presser. I have not been to the Rec Center to help out. But I do know the area and terrain within a 10 mile radius of my house very well. I have been caught out at night, middle of blizzards etc. I want to help and get registered on for their mapping/searching efforts. Need to wrap up work stuff early so I can get out there....
Catching up from yesterday, In addition to LE checking all neighborhoods in the search radius from last known ping, one would have to assume that LE is researching all known "registered sex offenders" in the Tahoe Region. If she was driving home and under the influence, had to stop on side of road, or became lost/disoriented, and her situation turned into "crossed paths with wrong person, wrong time", SO said I can help get you home, abducted in her car, driven to sex offenders home, her car parked in garage, as was mentioned by WS'er's, possible scenario. Dated: June 2022
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office reported on Thursday a second fentanyl overdose in Colfax in the last two weeks and announced that 90 percent of the street drugs it confiscates contain fentanyl.

“I can tell you our deputies find fentanyl on traffic stops almost daily – that’s something we’ve noticed over the past two years,” Musallam said.

Between lab tests and confessions from end-users, the sheriff’s office has learned that fentanyl is “extremely prevalent” in the county, according to Musallam

So far this year, the Placer County Coroner’s Office has reported 12 deaths that resulted from fentanyl overdoses, according to Musallam.

Eight days ago:
The Roseville Police Department shared on social media that within the last 48 hours they have reported to four suspected fentanyl overdoses.

The fentanyl was purple in color according to police.

“Fentanyl is an extremely powerful synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin,” Roseville Police wrote in the social media post. “The dangers of an increase of Fentanyl use in our region could have catastrophic effects.”

Crying my eyes out.....what about "Shake and Bake"? Fentanyl and meth are slowly showing up in The Netherlands now. I hold my heart for all those starting out with "fun" and ending up loosing everything, especially themselves.

Daniel Rodni issued a plea to other families for answers as authorities continue to look for the 16-year-old: “We need answers ... please, we need you.”

News Nation / Nancy Loo expanded coverage. 9 min video. Nothing much new. Walk round the Prosser site at 2:05 in the video. Short interview with ML and SS. Friends insist they believe she didn’t go off the road or into water. Interview with former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer. Her opinion is they have tailed back abduction scenario since no evidence. Focus on search to sonar, dogs, dive team.

NewsNation’s written summary of video.

And that leads me to a side thought. We have been told there was partying and boxing glove fights at the gathering. Were there any boats, rafts or canoes taken out on the reservoir?

Don't think it's Hughes doing the interview with SS. He just plays (and comments on) the interview that Tony Dodge did with SS.

What about checking the security footage at every single gas station within a 200-300 mile radius of where she was last seen?

When was the last time she bought gas? Did she have a full tank?
Agree @Nunyabeezwaxx, check-in with all towing yards in 200-300 mile radius also, possible scenarios involving either her vehicle or possibility that if absconder left their own vehicle, and got in KR's, hence abandoned vehicle scenario. I will also mention that run530's report of paddleboarder neighbor seeing a truck with no tags with NRA stickers stuck in the mud by Prosser Boat Ramp the morning of 8/6 is a "high priority" lead for LE to investigate. It is close proximity to KR's last known location/phone ping and the questioning by LE to the Owner of that vehicle is an extremely viable lead. LE should post a BOLO picture of the description of that vehicle, approximate make/model/year with identifying stickers in an attempt to locate the Vehicle/Owner for interrogation. AMOO

"We're struggling with clues, and so searches aren’t super successful."

“We do not have any new leads and that, I can tell you, is very frustrating for us…."

When LE say that, it's beyond concerning, especially when they've had the help of the FBI.

How many miles do you keep expanding the search areas for?

What can you do when there are no clues or witnesses?

I hope there is a break soon, otherwise I feel LE may start scaling down the searches after another week or two. Then it may, sadly, become yet another cold case.

Good observations.

The answers may lie with the "Lord of The Flies" environment at the party scene. There is alot of room in that environment for a party goer to:

- Have been given a ride to the party, but then have a alcohol, weed, or other substance fueled falling out with the ride giver or the others in the car. He then approaches KR for a ride.

- Be unable to find his ride as the party thins out. Or, maybe the ride leaves with out anyone realizing- or caring, that they forgot him. The stranded person then asks KR for a ride.

- Predator notices KR, then informs his ride that he has found another way home.

All of the above possibilities would involve somebody not leaving with the same person or group they arrived with. There are probably several such people who did so for fuzzy reasons.

Switching rides does not mean that a person was involved in foul play. Likewise, the trail of dots regarding who rode with whom and who did, or nor did not, leave with whom could be pretty blurry. But the possibility could be a good place to start.

OTOH, if I understand the terrain correctly, it would be an opportune place to ditch the vehicle, either in water or a ravine, to make it look like she put it there. This would be a complicated scenario, though, because it would need to be someone who had been driven to the party in the first place, who could have someone pick them up later (either an accomplice or someone none-the-wiser who would buy into a “she took off on me” story), and a knowledge of the area.
